I purchased this generator after my father purchased the same unit and was satisfied with the quality for the price. Compares to other units in this price range you get more features with Westinghouse. My only complaint is the unit showed up scratched. Thats the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5

Purchased the Wgen9500 generator to power the house during hurricanes. Build quality is top notch!! Features are awesome, the remote start and push button start are a really nice feature. Set up was a breeze took me about 15 mins from removing the box to start up. Fired right up using the remote on the first try. I'm currently running it to break it in and it's powering the garage fridge and a shop vac! I'm eventually having this wired to a transfer switch to power the house, one ac unit, well pump, fridge, lights and outlets. Negatives, it's 200lbs, but it moves around easily on level surfaces. I wouldn't want to haul it around much! The noise level is about what you would expect from a genny this size but inside the house it's barely noticed. Highly recommend this one!

Our basement floods frequently, I needed a new generator that could power two sump pumps along with a contractor pump. I was also interested in powering the majority of the rest of my house as I also work from home. I got this Westinghouse after my Craftsman failed after only a few years. The Westinghouse hans a handful of great features, especially the remote start. Not when a storm is coming, I set up the generator and just start it from inside as soon as the power goes out. Great generator so far, highly recommended.

This is a great generator! My husband assembled it easily. Initially, we were worried about moving it due to its heavy weight. But once he added the handle and wheels, we had no trouble moving it around. It works great on gasoline! And with a big storm moving in, we are excited to use it on propane and natural gas.

This gen took 25 days beyond the website proposed delivery date; thus the 4stars. This is a nice gen able to run all the house, with some reasonable planning. Paid an electrician to install a hookup, and interconnect safety switches, and now the gen just plugs into a single 50a plug and I can turn on the house power from the fuse box. The gen is very portable with good quality wheels.

Really easy to put together everything was really detailed, we live in Florida and decide to purchase it for Hurricane season emergency's power outages,and I love it really easy to start cause it have a remote and to carry it around cause it's have wheel so far I'm really satisfied with my purchase i also purchase the Cover has well

I just purchased this Generator, I am so delighted to have such a heavy duty devise to keep our home safe from power loss, this generator is much quieter than my previous one, over 1/2 less noise. I love the ease of starting using our fob switch and the auto use of a starting our generator. I couldn't be happier. OH, the price of this generator and the quality of this machine is fantastic.

Bought this generator after researching others on the market and the price, features and power were too good to pass up. Have only run for about an hour to test it out but no issues so far. This generator has plenty of power for a home backup. I haven't tried the key fob but it's a nice feature I guess. It is considerably loud so take that into account if your live close to neighbors. Would rate it 5 stars if I had more time to see long term performance.

Unpacked the generator from the box, attached feet and wheels, put the included quart of oil in the crankcase, filled gas tank half full, plugged in the included battery, programmed the key fob, flipped the breakers on, turned gas shut-off to open, flipped on/off switch to on, pressed the start button... the generator started immediately!!! I pressed the on/off button and it shut right down. I pressed the start button on the key fob this time and again it started right up. I then pressed the stop button on the key fob and it shut right down again just like it should, I started the generator one more time with the start button on the generator and I let it run for 2 hours to seat the rings and then turned it of with the key fob and it shut right down again just as expected. Next morning I turned the start/stop switch to on and pressed the start button and again it started right up. I then turned off the gas shut off valve and let the generator run until it ran out of gas and stopped running... So far so good!!! Only complaint was that the generator arrived with a dent in the upper frame while causing no obvious damage to the gas tank or generator. More than likely it was damaged in shipping. Maybe a big deal to some folks but no other apparent damage and all parts appear solid and the generator functions perfectly. Good enough for me!

Bought this item, free shipping to my house with no problems. Comes with Every thing you need ( except of course gas ) to get started, oil, tools and others. Wheels went right in place. Filled it up with gas, hit the start button and it fired right up with no problems. No smoking, exhaust good, noise is what you would expect. Runs most of the things in the house except the air unit we have, even our well pump, would need a huge unit to handle house and air unit.
