The generator worked fine for a day or two then the panel light started to go off working intermittently.. after the third week the panel light stopped working completely and would not start even by manually pulling …I know electronics can be finicky and one bad part can ruin the whole pot of soup… but we are off grid and rely heavily upon the generator when the sun is scarce…

After Tropical Storm Isaias took out my town/state and left us without power for days on end (our power company was BEYOND ill prepared) I vowed this would be the last time. I was going to purchase a smaller/less powerful model but after a lot of discussion, research and thought, I pulled the trigger on the WGen9500. I haven't 'used' it yet but I have unboxed, put it together (very minimal and it came with tools and no brainer steps) and fired it up. I have a switch and a cable coming to attach it to my house, but can used corded for now should I lose power. If I never need to DO or USE, this is the best insurance policy for the price ever. Thank you Westinghouse!!

It Looks like a well built unit. Heavy, but easy to put together. If only the thing would start. Im an aircraft mechanic, so adding the oil, and connecting the battery are not beyond my skill level. It turns over, but wont hit a lick. doesn't even try to fire off. So much for a thousand dollar investment in home preparedness.

The biggest complaint I saw before buying was the 50a plug being right over the wheel, making a hard connection. They've swapped the outlets, so the 50a is now free and clear, works great. Ran the generator a few hours yesterday and today and it works like a champ. great product.

I just recieved our new WGEN9500DFc. I did everything according to the instructs for set up. I put gas in and tried to crank it. Motor turned over but would not crank. I connected propane and it cranked right up. I had my 30yr handy man with me. We checked all procedures. Unit seemed fine on propane. NOTHING on gas. I called the customer service number. They said it could take a while for a tech response. Like how long? 21 DAYS , WHAT ???!!!! I think I like the unit, but I got dual fuel because that's what I wanted. I expect it to work and not have to wait 21 DAYS!!! I hope they call me soon. I will rate it at another time.

We bought this generator as an emergency backup for the after an ice storm left us without electricity for 12 days. Don't get me wrong, I love the outdoors and roughing it, but that Little House on the Prairie nonsense gets old after a few days and I am not Pa Ingalls. We're on a well, and I've got it figured that this generator will put out enough juice when the time comes to keep the water flowing and keep a light on outside so as prevent that nosy, brat Nellie Oleson from snooping around where she doesn't belong. In any case, we haven't had cause to use it yet other than to break it in and in a way I hope it remains that way. God bless and keep on trucking.

Just received this. Have not run yet. Seems simple enought to operate. The wheels were fairly simple to attach if you have it propped up. The instructions on the oil level did not make sense though. Not screwing the dipstick back in seems hard to accurately see the level. Even when I screwed it all the way in, the full container of oil supplied only read to the bare minimum operating level. I'm not very pleased with that but I will talk to a tech to see what I need to do.

Ordered the generator and got it in a couple days. Seems to be built well. It was easy to assemble and runs great. Only reason for 3 stars is that it was supposed to have a bonus cover that you get for writing a review. I was informed that it is not available. Very disappointed that I cant get it.

Just bought this and put it together, which was incredibly easy. Haven't needed it yet but am positive it will power what we need and then some! Packaing was great, all parts were present and in perfect condition, they also include the oil & funnel, AC adapter and the tool kit needed! SIMPLE! The remote start will be an absolute game changer when needed during outages and storms! The only reason why it has 4 stars and not 5 is I haven't needed to use it in a real outage situation yet and didn't feel I could give an honest review about that part of it yet.

I bought this a month ago, very disappointed. it did start up right away the bonus of remote smart actually cool was my deciding factor. But i bought with the intention of running my portable welder. Does NOT have the power to keep the welder running. my welder shuts down telling me the current is not strong enough.
