I purchased this generator to power my garage until the permanent power is hooked up. Received it today, the instructions were easy to read, it came with oil for the engine. I Installed the wheels, hooked up the battery and added gas, it started right up and I used it for about 2 hours to power my saws and compressor. I'm happy!!! When the permanent power is hooked up I plan on using it for a back up for the house if the power should go out. Very happy with my generator so far and just to let you know it can be moved very easily and I would recommend this product.

It arrived this morning via freight. It took about 20 mins to unbox it and get the wheels and front legs on it. Once I pulled it into my backyard, I filled it with the 1.1L oil shipped with it. Nice touch on just the exact amount!! Then I filled it full of gas and then connected the battery leads. I hooked up my generator plus into my transfer switches and then flipped the run button to ON and pressed the start button. I forgot to turn the gas line on, so once I did that, the start button fired it right up. I then switched from line power to generator power to see how this big thing would handle the load. It never missed a beat. After being without power for 9 days due to the Easter tornado, We will be able to run much more of our home in the future if a similar incident occurs. I highly recommend this generator. A+++++

Although I haven't tried this generator out in an actual power outage, I am quite impressed on what I have seen so far. The first thing that impressed me was how well it was packaged for shipment with all parts and accessories complete. I also liked how the manual was so informative, well written, with easy to understand illustrations. The first thing I tried was a heavy duty power drill; which didn't phase it. Then I tried the well pump, and you couldn't hardly tell when it kicked on. The last thing I tried was the whole house, of which I couldn't tell the difference between being on the generator or being on the main electrical service.The only advice that I would give the user would be to use premium non-ethanol gasoline treated with a fuel stabilizer. All in all, a very good generator, and highly recommended.

I bought this generator for backup power when the local power grid goes down, which it frequently does during bad weather. So glad I did! It basically powers our whole house! Everything from the well pump to the fridge, even the hot water heater! I love the 6.6 gallon tank, it means I can fill it before bed and sleep knowing it will still be running in the morning. The remote start is also nice in cold weather, I can start it from the window and it will be already warmed up and ready by the time I go out to hook it up. I would definitely recommend this generator.

The generator is an excellent design. Moderate weight for a whole home power system. Adapts on the fly for the available fuel, and is easy to assemble the common parts like the wheel system. Was packaged excellently and had no problem moving. Thank you Westinghouse!

I bought this a month ago, very disappointed. it did start up right away the bonus of remote smart actually cool was my deciding factor. But i bought with the intention of running my portable welder. Does NOT have the power to keep the welder running. my welder shuts down telling me the current is not strong enough.

Bought this a month ago when we had a local severe storm, Our electric stayed on but our daughters was off for four days. After 10 hours off we had to scramble the entire family to find enough space for her freezer and fridge contents. Because of corona virus everyone was well stocked with their own goods to avoid frequent trips to grocery store. It took six households refrigeration space to accommodate her needs and we still lost some of the cheaper condiments etc. Done right, this unit will run my entire house and the fact that it is portable will allow me to lend it out if above described circumstances happen again.

I just received the generator yesterday and ran it today. The engine runs fine but the power output is not constant. I contacted customer service and will hear back in a couple of days as to what to do. Depends on the outcome as to whether I can adjust my rating and recommend to a friend

I purchased this generator a few days ago and am very happy with my purchase. The Westinghouse name has been a staple in my home for years. The generator is beautiful and started right up. The manual is easy to read and understand. I am looking forward to many years of use.

Just received this. Have not run yet. Seems simple enought to operate. The wheels were fairly simple to attach if you have it propped up. The instructions on the oil level did not make sense though. Not screwing the dipstick back in seems hard to accurately see the level. Even when I screwed it all the way in, the full container of oil supplied only read to the bare minimum operating level. I'm not very pleased with that but I will talk to a tech to see what I need to do.
