I purchased this generator 3 months ago, and luckily I didn't need to use it, however I did turn it on twice just to run it. The first time it started up after a few times and I ran it for several hours. A month later, I tried running it again and it took a longer time to start it. After awhile I was able to run it for several hours. Today, I am trying again and it starts up, then shuts down after a minute or so. After I purchased this generator, I was asked to write a review and I would receive a cover for the generator, however I never received the cover. I also wrote the review based on the first time starting it. My brother is still trying to get it to start.

It arrived this morning via freight. It took about 20 mins to unbox it and get the wheels and front legs on it. Once I pulled it into my backyard, I filled it with the 1.1L oil shipped with it. Nice touch on just the exact amount!! Then I filled it full of gas and then connected the battery leads. I hooked up my generator plus into my transfer switches and then flipped the run button to ON and pressed the start button. I forgot to turn the gas line on, so once I did that, the start button fired it right up. I then switched from line power to generator power to see how this big thing would handle the load. It never missed a beat. After being without power for 9 days due to the Easter tornado, We will be able to run much more of our home in the future if a similar incident occurs. I highly recommend this generator. A+++++

Great generator, bought about a month ago. Easy setup, generator has electric start and key fob. Its easy for my wife to start and operate. The generator powers our whole hose with well, electric hot water heater, pellet stove, furnace and more. Would recommend

Both my neighbor and I bought one and they both burned up. One had 126 hours and the other 170. Both have either warped heads or bent valves. This is complete crap!!! Will never buy Westinghouse “anything” again. One we converted to natural gas the other was running on straight gas.

I live in Florida and figure that with the way 2020 is going to so, we're likely to get blasted with hurricanes all summer long, and my 6250/8500 generator of a different brand is not going to cut it for my family if we lose power for an extended amount of time. So I sold that unit and purchased this beast. First off, this is a great value, I looked at similar capacity generators from all the other major brands and this is the best value for power and overall features. The unit was delivered to my driveway and after unpacking I was able to put the wheels and feet on in a matter of minutes. I followed the instruction manual for adding oil, connecting the battery, pairing the remote, etc. I added about a gallon of fuel for the initial break-in. It started up pretty quickly - the starter had to crank it about 5 or 6 times before it fired initially, but it has started on the 1st or 2nd crank every time since. My initial impressions are very positive, it appears to be a very well built unit. It is noisy, but all non-inverter generators are noisy, and I actually think it is slightly less noisy than the older, smaller unit it replaced. Next step is to have an electrician install a transfer switch, stock up on beer, and then we are storm ready, and the beer will stay cold through it all!

I bought this on Friday and received today (Sunday). This thing feels well built. The starting instructions were quick and concise. The exact amount of oil was provided so I didn't have to guesstimate how much to put in. A fill funnel was provided with tools. More than enough features from charging a smartphone on a USB to running a whole house. The push start is very pleasant and a quick push of the button makes it auto start so you don't have to keep pressing. You won't be disappointed with this thing. It's like a tank. And then there is the key fob which works awesome. It kind of felt like a bonus to have a push start and key fob for this price. I would highly recommend this product. I wanted a DUROMAX but they were almost 50% more with the same features. I have no regrets.

Just got this in!! Added oil and gas..Fired right up with the remote start!!! Excellent so far!! I'm up in the foothills of CA and PG&E is cutting power all the time now. Had a Genarac 3600 But decided to go with a bigger stronger unit. Going to be hard wired into the panel in a week. So far so good!!!!

I bought this generator a month ago, right before a hurricane hit south Texas where I live. It worked flawlessly and ran my house without a hitch. Evan ran my central AC. I'm actually so impressed with it that I just ordered a Westinghouse iGen2500 as a backup.

Initial fire up of generator, frequency is 62.9. I called support and they requested I put a load on it. With 2 heat elements at maybe 2.5amps, it dropped to 61.7 Hz. I was told this was all good and normal. Fast forward to today, with my first trial run after all electrical was finished to feed my home. I started with my garage which has a 240v pool pump and air compressor. The pool pump and all 120 devices ran just fine. When the air compressor came on, lights began flickering badly and the generator shut off. This was done again when I had someone able to turn the air compressor on while I was at the generator to observe the operations. I observed the frequency was dropping to 55-56 Hz and voltage was also dropping. This is happening due to the idle circuitry of the generator failing is my thought. I called support and was advised to contact my seller to return the unit for being defective. If I'm not able to return it, I can take it somewhere of pay to have someone come to my home. This is very poor support for a brand new product.

Purchased product a short time ago and have used for several hrs with no issues what so ever.Living remotely in maine, we loose power frequently throughout the winter months and now feel very secure knowing we have the stand by power. I am very pleased with this unit and look forward to many years of use.
