I started using this vacuum in November. I have already had to have the handheld part replaced. The vacuum suction does not work. It’s seemingly sucks things up and then dumps it all back on the floor. I just started using the new handheld that was sent to me And the vacuum is still doing the same thing except for now when I use it in boost mode, it turns off in about 20 seconds. The eco mode doesn’t suck anything up and boost mode sounds clangy and loud and then shuts off. This vacuum is not worth the money. This vacuum is not worth any money!!! I don’t think I will buy shark again.

I absolutely love this vacuum!! I am a clean freak and have bought so many over the years that have been such a disappointment. We have an indoor 100 lb dog that sheds a lot, and this vacuum sucks it all right up. I have wasted so much money over the years in vacuums with no suction😫 An added plus is the self emptying feature . You put the vacuum in its base and it does the work for you. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!!

Lightweight and suction seems amazing and I LOVE that is suctions out automatically from the canister after every vacuum when you put it back on the dock without my hair getting all clogged in there. I can probably empty out the dock/base once every blue moon.

I am generally a fan of Shark vacuums. I already have 3 (a robot, and 2 lift-aways). So, when I wanted to go cordless, I thought of Shark first. I bought this Shark Detect Clean & Empty system about a month ago. So far, I am kind of disappointed. The suction is kind of sucky, as in it has very little power. It is a little heavier than I would like for holding it up to the ceiling to suck up dust-bunnies. If I use one of the 2 attachments, the sucking power is even worse. It is also a PITA to have to carry the attachments around with me as I clean. They do not attach to the vacuum and only one of them attaches to the base. AND, speaking of attachments, why can't Shark use a coordinated system where all attachments fit all (or most) of the vacuum styles??? I have some attachments from my older vacuums that I absolutely love. But, noooo, they can't be used with any other model.

We have had a Dyson V7 for years and needed an economical replacement. Chose this one because of the auto empty feature on the base. I use this vacuum daily for limited jobs. I like the auto empty feature and the lighted brush roller head. There are two less-than-perfect details. 1) the auto-empty only works if you have the motor on the floor wand. If you use a handheld attachment, you have to swap back to the floor attachment before you can lodge in the base for the dirt canister to empty. 2) I vacuum a lot of crystal cat litter. The crystals don’t transfer fully when emptying, and they will get hung in the back “gate”, requiring me to use my hand to clear the crystals and close the gate before using the vacuum again. My husband has said he wishes the power button was a trigger rather than a push button on the back of the motor requiring two hand operation - but I’m not as bothered by that. Suction is good.

If I could give it 0 stars I would! Extremely disappointed in the amount of money I spent vs. the quality of the product. When I first got the vacuum I thought it was great. That lasted about a week. I am a person that was interested in this because I love to vacuum everyday and having something cordless was very appealing. I don’t even need to vacuum everyday, but I love an extremely clean home. It seems that after the first week, the suction on the vacuum steadily decreased and in order to increase suction, you would need to put it on a boost mode which only kills the battery extremely fast! I am at the point now that I can only vacuum on boost mode, and my battery is now dead within about 15 mins. I went to purchase a new battery and it says it is sold out online! Absolutely terrible! I am extremely disappointed, especially as a dedicated ninja customer who has spent thousands upon thousands on their products!

I bought this because we were looking for the perfect hardwood floor vacuum, that would also vacuum our rugs easily. This is it!! It does great on both and on the edges of our floors against the wall. The automatic charge and trash emptier is a plus as well!

We received this vacuum as a gift from my parents for Christmas. We don’t use it often, but recently have noticed it just pushes dirt and hairballs around. It does not pick up. If I lay the vacuum right on top of these things, it will initially suck it up and then leave it behind once the vacuum turns off. And to top it off, it clogs constantly. I don’t know why I even bother using it. I end up having to pull out my big Dyson and just suck up everything this leaves behind. Very disappointing because I’ve heard great things about Shark from people.

I was so excited when I got this to help in the kitchen with all the dog fur. I am so disappointed. It barely has any suction. I have to go over areas multiple times, slowly and even still, fur/crumbs left behind. It only seems to suction when moving forward, not back.

So far it's horrible. Doesn't hold it's charge. Fully charged and it maybe lasted for 10 min. Hardly sucks anything up. I'm seriously considering on returning this thing.
