absolutely the best!

absolutely love it! easy to get started! maneuvers real easy! so easy to use! No cord to worry about! just made my life so easy! Long hair doesn't get tangled and it moves right to carpet to hardwood and to rugs!! Its the best! and it goes around table legs and chair legs so easy! lots of battery charge and so easy to dump it...just put on the charger and it sucks the dirt into a container at the base. So only have to empty it every now and then, not every time! keeps you away from breathing that dust! its amazing

Great for small spaces

This vacuum is great. The small power head for furniture works wonderfully on cat hair. Love the power and suction. We live in our motorhome and it’s the perfect size.

Great for furry dogs!

I bought this back in November 2024 and it is still going strong. I am able to vacuum 2500sqft + house all in one battery. I have two fur machines (Doberman and German shepherd) that make it so I need to vacuum 3 times a week to keep up with these two fur machines. I do have to empty the autocollection bin once a month. I do see some people complain about the suction going out, like when you vacuum up the edge of a rug all you have to do is turn it off and then just restart it.

Love, Love, Love!

I bought this because we were looking for the perfect hardwood floor vacuum, that would also vacuum our rugs easily. This is it!! It does great on both and on the edges of our floors against the wall. The automatic charge and trash emptier is a plus as well!

Just No!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using this for a month now, and it’s a real poor vacuuming cleaner. It hardly sucks the dust, and after vacuuming many rooms including many rugs, it only have a cuple of dust inside its cup. When i use it it always goes into this lock so i always have to out my feet on to losen it so it can vacuum. Also it only vaccum cleans when you push it forwards, not backwards!! This is not worth the money!

Save your money

I wish I had never wasted my money on this vacuum. You can only vacuum forward so when you pull it back towards you the dirt will remain on the floor. The auto empty bin I thought was going to be great. Nope. The magnetic closure does not close completely on its own every time causing debris to fall to the floor! Doesn’t get the pet hair off my couch like I expected. I had a hard time spending the money to begin with and like an idiot I threw away the receipt because it was a Shark! Every other Shark I have ever used always met expectations but not this one. So upset.

Don't waste your money.

I bought this vacuum around christmas time. It does nothing but clog non stop. I spend more time unclogging than vacuuming. Now the roller won't engage so it won't work at all. So frustrated with this vacuum and so mad I wasted my hard earned money . This vacuum isn't cheap! Don't waste your money, buy dyson. Was happy with my dyson and decided to try this brand. Sorry I did.

BIG Let Down!!! Buy the power detect

I received this vacuum as a Christmas gift after wanting a lightweight cordless vacuum for over a year. I suffer from fibromyalgia and severe arthritis, so ease of use is extremely important to me. I’ve purchased four corded Shark Rocket vacuums over the years. I formerly was a self-employed seasonal deep-cleaning professional. They are excellent machines. I’ve recommended them to several clients and family members even got one for my daughter in law. Everyone was always satisfied. I think that’s why this experience has been so disappointing. I was ecstatic to receive what I’d hoped would be an even more outstanding machine. Only I was sorely let down. I’ve only owned this vacuum a little over a month and have already had to replace the head. If the machine performed exceptionally otherwise, I would have written a glowing review. Unfortunately, it has been a major letdown, from the first use…ESPECIALLY considering the price. Every time I vacuum, the stick gets clogged. I have to take it apart and blow air through it just to keep it working. Recently I had to use a sink snake to remove debris. This vacuum has been such a huge hassle. I really wish now I would have just asked for the shark power detect. I care for my one-year-old granddaughter, so I vacuum sometimes several times a day, and this constant clogging is unacceptable and so annoying. In addition, the performance of this vacuum on carpet is especially poor. We only have carpet in two bedrooms. After vacuuming one room with this unit, the dust cup wasn’t even 1/8 full. I then vacuumed the same room with my older Shark Rocket and had to vacuum twice, removing over a full cup of debris, including pet hair. This vacuum simply does not clean carpet well and performs very poorly with pet hair. I also own a Shark Ion robot vacuum that I run daily, and I have many Shark/Ninja products overall. I am a loyal, repeat customer, which makes this even more frustrating. I wanted this vacuum for so long that if it worked properly on hardwood floors/rugs and didn’t clog, I would have been willing to continue using my Rocket just for the bedrooms. I plan to reach out to Shark to see if there is a fix. If there is, I will gladly update this review. I truly hope this can be resolved, because my past experiences with Shark have been overwhelmingly positive.

Complete product design failure

This is a total design disaster. Every time I put the vacuum on the station to suck the dust out, there are debris blocking the vacuum’s dust bin cap closing and leave the bin unsealed. You will see dust flying all over the place when you use the vacuum with the dust bin unsealed. Also the button to manually open the dust bin is sensitive(the bin is completely opened just with 1/3 push of the button) located at the extremely easy-to-be-pushed spot, so when you are unaware you will dump all the dust and debris on you and the floor when you are carrying the vacuum after the cleaning. This happened really many times and it is definitely from a stupid design work rather than just clumsy of me.

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you’ve had with the dust bin not sealing properly and the release button opening unexpectedly, that’s definitely not the experience we want for you. Debris caught around the bin cap or gasket can sometimes prevent a full seal, but if this is happening repeatedly, we’d recommend that you refer to our self-help guide here to help troubleshoot the issue you’re experiencing: https://support.sharkninja.com/en-CA/article/IW4000-Series-Shark-Cordless-Detect-Pro-Vacuum-Troubleshooting-Guide-ca If the steps are unsuccessful, please follow the directions provided at the end of the guide.
