Latest avocados were from Peru not Mexico

I've been purchasing these avocados for years, and they had been one of top five my staple buys at Sams. Not anymore. They are now from Peru and not Mexico. I had to toss out all 5 avocados. They went from being unripe (hard and lumpy) to rotten. The mid-ripe avocados had sections that were hard and sections that were brown. No middle, avocado goodness middle ground! Unfortunately, I had ordered pick-up. If I had seen them in the store as "Peru" I would not have purchased them. Buyer beware.

Have photos of rotten avocados, will request refund

The last bag of avocados purchased from Sam's were very soft & beginning to turn brown inside (rot). We didn't notice until the next day, as we'd chosen curbside pickup on our way home from a 2-day trip. Avocados from Sam's are typically firm & take several days to ripen in the refrigerator, then usually stay perfectly ripe well over a week in the refrigerator. We should've learned not to order produce for curbside pickup, since we've previously gotten bagged salad kits that were at the end of their "best used by" date & other produce past its prime, none of which we would choose if shopping in the store.

The Emerald Jewel of SAMS Produce

These are SPECIAL. How does SAMS consistently package multiple avocados in each bundle that ripen perfectly and are never damaged?! I buy these almost every time I shop at SAMS when they are available-which is almost always. The quality is unmatched. I put them on sandwiches, make guac, pair them with scrambled eggs, put them in smoothies, and eat them all by themselves. If you haven't tried these yet, you have been missing out on a real treat.

NEVER soft enough to cut them with a knife...

Very disappointed in this batch (net) of avocados from Peru. Purchased on 28 August and it was 12 September and ALL avocados were so rock-hard that could use them to break windows... Not a single avocado was edible, opened all of the and the pulp was hard as if they were still 2 months away from being ripe. Cannot recommend as this is the 2nd time this happens to me.

Please bring back avocados from Mexico!

I used to always buy avocados from sams club since they were one of the few places that carried one from Mexico. However now they are bringing ones from Peru which taste and feel totally different. I'm not sure if grocery stores are able to source them cheaper from Peru and Chile(which doesn't make since b/c those are much further from the US). But I would much rather pay a little more for something that actually tastes good. I guess the search continues....

Best avocados!

The Brand of avocados that Sam's club buys are the best. I've yet to ever get ones that are gross inside like from other places. I do let them rest on the counter until they've ripened and then I throw them in my fridge and they last for a very long time! I also only ever eat half of it at a time. I keep the pit in one side and throw it in a ziplock bag and it stays nice for a time.
