Best bet ever!

My sister and brother-in-law served this at a large family gathering once. After that I was sold. My family absolutely loves this brisket! I serve it at most holiday gatherings along with other meats and it is by far a favorite. It is completely cooked. I put the whole brisket into a "Brown-in-Bag" with a small amount of water and bake at a low temperature for about an hour. I served at a dinner with my entire office and the people loved it so much, I gave one to all my co-workers for a Christmas Gift. Now they serve it also. Seems a little high, but zero waste and no work at all.

POOR EXCUSE for brisket

This product does have a smoky flavor and is sliced nicely; however, it is VOID of any other seasonings & is some what tasteless. Out of the package - It is already overcooked, so when heated the end results/product becomes crumbly, tough & dried out. Adding bbq sauce didn't offer much help (with tenderness) either. I would NOT recommend reheating a 2nd time if there are leftovers. I am sorely disappointed with this product. It is a poor excuse and example of good brisket. I would consider the price very reasonable ONLY IF the product was good AND IT IS NOT. Therefore, as a Chef I cannot and will NOT(in good conscience) recommend NOR purchase this item again. Well over 50% FAT

Took this out of the freezer a few minutes ago for dinner with friends coming over and it was nearly all FAT. Horrible. We tried to cut the fat out and save the meat but there would not have been enough to feed 4 people. This looks more like cheap fatty bacon than beef brisket. Don't be fooled by the photo on the package. The contents are nothing like that all all. For what we paid, this is going right back to Sams Club.

Not consistent

I've bought this several times and it's usually very tender and tasty. I bought one last weekend and it's really not very good at all. Very tough and lacking in flavor. I tried it twice and ended up tossing the rest, it just wasn't enjoyable. I doubt I'll buy it again anytime soon. If you get a good one though it's pretty tasty.

Terrible cut of Meat

I’ve been buying these for years but pick them out myself until this time. It was so full of fat, barely had any lean on the inside just a little around the edges to fool you. Ended up trashing the whole thing., Worse cut of meat I ever purchased!!’ Very disappointed..

Not nearly as good as it used to be.

The quality has gone straight down hill since Sadler's Smokehouse in Texas was purchased by Minnesota owned Hormel. Nothing good happens when giant corporate entities gobble up smaller independant processors. More fat, more oddly shaped, flavor just not right.

This is chemically cured, not smoked. Salty, weird ham-like texture and not enjoyable. I lived in Texas for 6 years and have eaten and smoked plenty of brisket. Whatever this is, no one in my family of carnivores liked it. Smothering it in bbq sauce helped a little, but it was way too salty and lacked flavor, either smoke or beef.
