I bought this pergola late last summer and it was put up later in a raised area. I'm very pleased with it, as it looks fantastic. A few people passing by in vehicles have slowed down and looked at it. As the decking around the pergola will be completed soon, I look forward to enjoying it for a long time to come. The instructions and labelling of the associated pieces were as clear as a bell. It is better for two people to put it up as it is rather heavy, but once it is installed, it is eye candy.

After reading many reviews, we decided to purchase the 12x20 Beaumont pergola for the far side of our pool area. It is the perfect addition and finishes the space beautifully serving as a separation between the pool area and backyard “fun.” The pergola is real wood and very heavy (when putting together). My husband and I (ages 52 and 46) did it together with help from our 17 year old son when lifting. It took us some time (a full Saturday), but that included organizing the pieces before starting. We also worked slowly as I wanted to be sure we were doing it correctly to eliminate the need to undo and redo something - which would be a lot of work. We chose to paint our pergola (Turkish Coffee by Sherman Williams) to match our Tudor home as the natural stain the wood comes in was too light for our surrounding decor. We also strung lights and added curtains for comfort. This space is a favorite - even amongst the teenagers! We only put our pergola up a few weeks ago, but it’s heavy, solid and obviously high quality. I would highly recommend this particular pergola (12x20 Beaumont). Side note, the delivery was easy and the product arrived sooner than we expected. It comes in 4 large (heavy) boxes.

Very happy. I put it together myself in an afternoon. Am I Impact driver and 10 Topo Chicos later and it’s up and beautiful. Very happy with the quality and details. Construction couldn’t have been more straight forward. Very happy - would buy again.

Easy to assemble, almost completely by myself. (My wife helped to hold the sub-assemblies while I braced them) but otherwise easily a one-man job. I used 11X12X12 concrete piers for my foundation since my location is just on gravel over dirt. I added some roll-up shades and also added some sun screening material on the top for additional shade. Our Arizona summers are brutal and this definitely extends our outside time by at least a couple of months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this last summer and LOVE it! We placed it on our deck outside of our master bedroom. It adds an entire outdoor living area and so much charm to backyard! We put the plastic sheets over the top so we love to sit outside when it's raining! Highly recommend this pergola!

I never leave reviews. And I'm the person that wondered why people say that. I assumed it's either because they may be trying to persuade someone either or way, who may be on the fence about buying a product. They are satisfied or dissatisfied. In this case, I am highly satisfied. The pergola is great. A few minor cracks in one of the 4 main corner posts, due to shipping I am assuming. I didn't call or complain, I didn't notice to I had put it up. It should be okay. I bought 2 months ago. It's been up a month now. Took about 7 hours over two days. I did alone. I had my wife to the corner post once I stood each side up. I attached all the separated parts together first in the garage. Then moved to the outside to set up. Went very smoothly. The product itself seems to be a great product, but the included assembly through Go Configure leaves a lot to be desired. A piece was broken during transport, so I was left with a partially constructed pergola on my patio and the team on site said they had to report to their supervisor. The supervisor of the local company submitted the report and GoConfigure sends me an email saying their team had to "investigate" this which generally takes two business days, starting Friday over a Holiday weekend. When I called for more details I was told they could not give me any timeframe, because Go Configure is a separate company than Backyard Discovery (despite their name and number appearing on the cardboard boxes the pergola came in.) Backyard Discovery had previously been very helpful and so I chose to call them directly. They immediately noticed my order and prior registration and told me they would FedEx me the broken part and it would arrive in 2-4 days. Honestly I'm furious because if I had called the manufacturer the day we found it was broken I could have finished this myself and gotten to enjoy the pergola for at least half of my holiday weekend, rather than watching the pieces left in my lawn slowly kill my grass. Good product, great manufacturer service from Backyard Discovery, but terrible customer service from Go Configure.

We are 100% satisfied with purchasing this pergola from Backyard Discovery. The way it was packaged and delivered to our home was phenomenal. The directions were very detailed and super easy to understand. We look forward to enjoying our Pergola for many years to come. Now off to finding some furniture 😉

This comes in four big boxes weighing around 170lbs.each. All boards and hardware are labeled well. Me and a friend pre assembled most of it during the week in my garage. Brought in some more muscle on Saturday to carry the assembled pieces out back to the patio. With three guys we had it up and anchored in about 3 hours. Follow the instructions and lay everything out according to part numbers and you will be fine. Pre assembling saved a lot of time on Saturday.

We've had this for awhile now. It's not exactly what the intended use was going to be, but we decided to go with an entertainment space (was originally doubled to use as covered carport but my SUV was too big). We are very pleased. It is well built (though the top boards could be a little sturdier). It has ample room for entertainment space and we've really enjoyed using it! It was also super easy to put together.
