This Pergola looks outstanding! Its a great addition to our backyard. It was very easy to anchor, which I thought it wouldn't be. I haven't noticed anything wrong with it, but i haven't sat and stared at it either. It would be nice if a cover was sold for it. So if anyone has any suggestions on that, plz share!

Directions were easy to follow, I recommend 3 people to assemble. Took us about 3 to 4 hrs to complete, hardware included was excellent quality and cedar boards went together perfectly. I’ve added louvers to my pergola for extra shade, looks amazing. Thank you backyard discovery!

After researching many pergola manufacturing companies, we chose Backyard Discoveries. The price was the best and photos and reviews appeared to be of good quality. I was relieved when the boxes were delivered and I could confirm the quality of the manufacturing and design. The instructions were well written, and the assembly was clearly well thought out. My son and I were able to easily assemble the pergola in about 8-10 hours on a Saturday. I was impressed at how easily it went together with pre-drilled holes everywhere and top quality hardware. The product and company exceeded all my expectations. In sunny California we enjoy the pergola almost every day. I would highly recommend this product to anyone considering a pergola to enhance their property.

this was very easy to assemble.the instructions say 3 people and 8 hrs. we had 5 people and it took 6 hrs (WITH QUITE A FEW BREAKS).could have done it with 4 people but i cant see doing it with just 3. It would have been very awkwrd. My only complaint it that quit a few of the boards were warped.

I purchased the 14x10 pergola last fall and absolutely love it. I put it together myself over the course of a weekend (without an extra set of hands, I had to be creative and used step ladders to lean sections upright when fastening together). It’s trickier that way…but still manageable. I was amazed at how well the pieces were marked. Most pre-drilled holes were lined up well, except for a few where I simply had to help with a drill. I have it on our back deck, which has created an entirely new feel and an outdoor oasis - almost like a bonus room. Now I am just looking for some type of cloth shade covering to add on for additional sun protection. BYD - do you have any recommendations?

I am a 50 year old woman and I was able to put this up myself. I had my 20 year old daughter help me with lifting the assembled pieces to the top of the pergola while I attached them. All the parts were included and I had no problems with hardware or alignment. It was very easy to assemble because I planned ahead, had the right tools and patience. I assembled it in 8 hours on day 1, I anchored it to the concrete on day 2.
