Seems like everyone in the neighborhood was putting up Peroglas, but I wanted one that was beautiful, well built, and easy to assemble. I couldn’t be happier, since putting it up, we gotten numerous compliments. The wood is high quality and the engineering is near perfect. Much better than those big box products.

This pergola is really nice. Though the cedar is slightly stained, we added stain and it really freshened the wood up. DO lay out EVERY SINGLE PIECE of wood before assembling. The directions were a bit wonky and I ended up using a corner pillar in the center, which left appearance holes where it shouldn’t have. But in the end no one would really notice.

I left a 1 star review a couple weeks ago because after a month and a half, I hadn't received my pergola. After weeks of being told 'tomorrow' by the shipping company, I went and picked it up myself. The pergola is beautiful and the cedar smells wonderful. It took me about 6 hours to assemble everything except the 1x's on the top. Is give this a 5 if it wasn't for the shipping fiasco.

I used the optional assembly service and that was frustrating. They went thru several people trying to get it assembled, finally on try #6 we got it done but I wasted a lot of time from work going home just to have nobody show up. It's large and bulky to assemble so trying to do it by myself wasn't really an option. But overall the pergola itself is great. Only complaint is it feels short to me, I wish it was a foot taller

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this pergola back in May for my back yard patio. I wanted to spend most of my time this summer relaxing. This pergola did not disappoint!! My 17 year old grandson and his friend and I put it together in 2 days. It was very easy to put together and the memories we created was priceless!! Defiantly worth the money!!

We purchased this pergola several months ago and put it up soon after. My husband and I built it and it was not too difficult. The wood and hardware are very sturdy. We did re-stain it before we built it, but we knew we were going to do that when we purchased it. We just wanted a darker color than what it came with. The pergola looks and feels great out by our pool.

We have been waiting for years to create a patio space and this pergola is everything we could have hoped for! We absolutely love the aesthetic; it was straightforward to assemble; and it fit within our budget! We wanted one that could withstand high winds. It is already been wind and kid tested, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you for making our backyard dreams come true!

I finally bought this pergola and my husband and sons put it together and it looked beautiful.... for a while. I put a green metal roof on mine because it sits around trees. Still beautiful, but the woodpeckers LOVE this wood. I have holes everywhere even with a fake owl and a wind chime. Then one fall day, a tree branch came down and smashed one side. My husband says he can repair it. I had ceramic tile and lights under the top and loved its look. Hope it can be rehabbed. Good purchase if found on a deal. Woodpeckers will destroy it.

My wife and I mulled over getting this pergola vs building our own for 6mos. We were terrified it'd be cheap materials. Holy moly am I glad we bought the Discovery kit - it's not cheap at all. Very sturdy! Looked just as great in person as it does in the photos! My wife loves it, she hung some curtain rods and now does tea parties w/ her buddies (not kidding). With the price of lumber this kit is like stealing its such a good deal. I will say, I'd reco staining it before you put it together. Also, make sure you have a friend and two drills and two ladders to put it together - this pergola is no joke!
