Our previous LG refrigerator died so we went shopping for another one. I had specific requirements 1) outside water and ice dispenser, 2) ice maker in the freezer door, 3) lights in front so they aren't blocked by food. Only 2 brands had all these, and the other brand was not recommended by anyone. While I like my LG, the changes they have made from the previous model are mostly negative. Previously I could dispense water or ice by just pushing on the correct lever. Now I have to toggle between crushed ice, cubed ice, and water. This is a royal pain since my husband is constantly using ice, and I almost never use ice. It also doesn't seem to dispense very well. Another change is only 4 shelves instead of the previous 5 in both the freezer and refrigerator, and the ones in the freezer are not adjustable at all. They extended the bottom bin in both the freezer and refrigerator, but that eliminated a door shelf in both. They also moved the controls inside the refrigerator, so now you have to hold the refrigerator door open to make adjustments, and I can't find a way to turn off the alarm that sounds when they think you've held the door open too long. Please!!! If you can't make IMPROVEMENTS, leave things alone!

3 refrigerators delivered and all were dented. Can't get the plastic taste out of the ice.

Got this going on 2 months ago working great. Ice maker is a little loud but works great
