Comparing other units from big box hardware stores and online giant it seemed like this was a great deal so I bought it. The first one I bought had a puncture hazard as it had welding wire stuck to the frame that was about an inch long and it was powder coated. One reach toward the wrong spot and you would need a tetnas shot. It also was a leaker and there was no way to tighten the leader hose enough as it was a swivel connector. I tried to reach out to the manufacturer with the provided phone number and email contact but they were unresponsive so I returned to the store. The 2nd one I bought is missing the axles so I’ll have to return that one too. As far as overall quality, had it worked w/o leaking I would give it 4 stars and if I were to rate it based on the cost then I could see giving it 5 stars. But considering a customer service that doesn’t return emails or phone messages and the problems I had I would give it zero stars if I could.

What I DISLIKE after owning for 2 years - Its rusting and falling apart. - Power coat paint peeling horribly - Wheels are rusted severely - The wheels don't lock so when you pull the hose the whole cart moves - irritating - No hose guide. Its a beast to manually guide 150ft hose back on the reel with the cart moving at the same time. What I like. - Holds a lot of hose - Brass connection to hose -It took 2 years to figure out this was a POOR investment. I probably should have returned sooner. Just don't like returning items. But this one would have made the returns list. I wonder if Sams will return or exchange? . Full disclosure. This unit is exposed to the weather 24/7. This is my experience.

I purchased this hose reel less than two years ago and when starting to use this year the frame is failing due to extreme rust. Love the "no flat" tires but unfortunately the good stops there. The frame has multiple places completely rusted through. We live in Kentucky where winters are not that harsh and no salt in the air like seaboard states. I tried to add photos taken, but when I click on add images/videos, nothing happens.

Would be able to give a better review if we had the hardware to put it together. Called to let them know and emailed with the receipt and no response. Brought it back and tried another one, no hardware... by the 3rd box with no hardware we just got our money back

Looked like a great solid product, however it can’t be put together due to poor manufacturing. Can’t attach the hose reel to the base, due to it being made to what seems to be the wrong size. You can’t attach the Bearing fixed bracket (F) to both sides, it’s one or the other because the hose real “body & shaft” are too long. So no matter what you do, since the bearings are round & pieces on the hose reel (E) are two pieces welded together to make a large edge you can’t slide the bearing over it to get the fit. Followed instructions, watched video and we have a defective one. Sadly it’s an hour round trip to return to our nearest Sam’s Club, so quite the waste of time & gas money.

Bought this exactly one year ago. The frame/rails have rusted and split open. There is a lot of rust on the wheels and bolts. I take care of my stuff. Although this was outside (you would think a hose reel would be made to withstand the elements), I had it under an overhang and not in direct sunlight.

I bought one of these 8 years ago from sam's club and it finally rusted away. I went to buy a new one from sam's club and got this piece of trash. The reel is so low to the ground you will have to get on your knees to reel it. Don't waste your money buy a different one somewhere else

It looks like it's a toss of the dice on this one to purchase one that works. I read the reviews that the leader hose unscrews when you turn the crank. Other reviews said no, that doesn't happen. On the cart I bought, when you turn the crank, the leader hose twists up until it restricts water flow. The leader hose should spin freely to avoid this. The defective part came pre-assembled, so it was not our fault in putting it together. Got our money back.
