I purchased this Hose reel cart today as a replacement for my old one that I have used for 6 years, that I also had purchased at Sam's. When I unpacked this unit today, I saw that it was inferior to my old cart. The drum is much smaller, the 230feet of hose barely fits on the reel. The cart only goes in a straight line, whereas the old one turning wheels in the front. The old cart had a much larger basket on the bottom that held many more accessories. The only positive about this unit is the no flat tires. Additionally, it should noted that the price of the new Cart is more than the bigger, better-constructed old one.

We picked this up last year. It went together quickly and had no issues. It felt really solid and we were impressed with it, especially for the price. But in only about a month everything started to rust. If there's any imperfections in the paint, any where on the cart, it will rust and will spread. The interior of the hose 'valve' is also full of rust. Now using it a second year our water comes out rust colored and it's beginning to clog up our sprayers. I'm not sure if we received a lemon, or if this is normal for this item, but the rusting issues completely ruin an otherwise good product.

I have an older similar hose reel cart also purchased from Sam's. I just bought this one. There are several downgrades from the previous one. Gone is the large basket replaced with much smaller one. The rubber on crank handled is fixed (bad design). Wheels is secured with pins instead of nuts. The wheels don't steer anymore.

We love this cart. The wheels are now solid rubber instead of the old tube type. We purchased two previously but the old tires and tubes didn’t hold up in the New Mexico heat and sun. We were going to replace the wheels but discovered it was only $4 more to purchase a new one. The old one went to the recycling center.

The hose reel works great, after about a month. The short water hose to connect the reel to the faucet is the thinnest and completely useless. It twists so bad, sitting stationary for no reason, water will not flow thru it and you can not get the kinks out without disconnecting it. The water connection is horrible!!!! It can not be turned by hand so you need wrenches. but there is no room for wrenches. I reinstalled a NEW hose to it yesterday and seemed ok. Today, I turned it on, began to walk off and the hose blew off the hose reel connection! With all the good qualities of this hose reel the connections are giving it these ratings. If I did not have to drive 50 miles to return it, I would. It is a piece of JUNK.

In general a decent product that needs some improvement in fitment, but the biggest disappointment are the foam filled tires that are NOT FILLED FULL ENOUGH !! These tires show a flat spot when you have park this cart for awhile ! I could recommend this product and maybe buy another one when there are certain improvements seem to have been made. Buy it if you are willing to make some corrections yourself.

As you turn reel, the hose connector unscrews therefore causing severe water wastage. This is a design flaw that I’ve tried to see if there is a fix-there isn’t. When you reel hose back in, the hose connector tightens back up. This defeats purpose of reel.

Seems well made, but once assembled, if you roll up or out the hose (which is the purpose of the hose reel) it disconnects the hose from the spigot on the house. For some reason, it was not designed properly to allow the connecting hose to be independent of the action of the hose reel. It seems like the joint i tended to make the reel work as it should was assembled improperly at the factory, and that piece cannot be modified by the buyer. Will likely return and buy something else that works properly.

Good durable, easy to put together, very pleased with product.

The hose reel was so easy to assemble. It rolls the hose up really smoothly.
