Wow. This is the most amazing sandbox ever. From all descriptions, you are not sure if for $40 or so dollars you get everything plus the excavator. In fact, you do, plus many toys. Probably the best investment for a toddler boy in a while comparing to all other toys.

My husband and I bought this for our son's 2nd birthday. He really likes playing in the sandbox. My only wish is that it was a bit bigger. All of the accessories that come with the box are great, but there is not a lot of playing room inside the box when everything is in it(hence only 4 stars instead of 5). We put one 50 lb bag of play sand in the box and that is plenty (directions say it can hold 100 lbs). The lid stays on and keeps out debris. It hasn't rained yet since we've put the box out, so I cannot comment on how water proof it is. Overall, great toy, very fun, just wish it was a lot bigger!

Bought this for my 3 yr old grandson. He loves it.. he loves sand play! This size is small but good in my opinion because he sits on the outside of the box so sand just mainly gets on his arms and hands. It’s a appealing design for play. However the scooper is difficult to turn, I guess because of the sand getting stuck in the cracks. I would recommend for any child who loves sand play...especially with the truck themes.

This is great for a sandbox when you don't want to fill up a bigger one with tons of sand then worry about changing it out multiple times a year. This can take one or two bags of sand which is perfect for us. The sandbox we had prior took 6 bags minimum which is 250 lbs of sand. It got moldy and it's unreasonable to change that much twice a year. This is great for what it is, the size and the extra toys make it worth it. The lid fits well and I would recommend to anyone.

I was looking at the turtle box when I spied this one. This one is better for my son because he just absolutely loves digging and anything farm or construction plus the accessories that came with it was an added bonus. he loves playing with it. I love that it is covered so the animals can't get in and that the toys are all contained when done playing.

I was hoping the lid was just 'flippable', but it actually has to be taken off and re-attached. The little crane doesn't work well as soon as sand gets under the swivel. Also, the sand will get extremely wet every time it rains. Cute idea but needs design improvements.

My son had one similar to this when he was little. My 3 year old grandson always wanted to play with it but the crane digger was broken. After all it was 18 or 19 years old. When I saw this newer version I knew we had to have it. My grandson absolutely loves it. It’s durable and super cute. The price was great too.

Great calming activity for my sensory seeking 5yr old son! He loves cars, diggers, trains, etc. so I bought this to give him something to do that he already likes and then as an added bonus, it provides him extra sensory input where he squats next to it to play as that is his favorite position.
