My husband and I bought this for our son's 2nd birthday. He really likes playing in the sandbox. My only wish is that it was a bit bigger. All of the accessories that come with the box are great, but there is not a lot of playing room inside the box when everything is in it(hence only 4 stars instead of 5). We put one 50 lb bag of play sand in the box and that is plenty (directions say it can hold 100 lbs). The lid stays on and keeps out debris. It hasn't rained yet since we've put the box out, so I cannot comment on how water proof it is. Overall, great toy, very fun, just wish it was a lot bigger!

Great for developing fine motor skills and for your little one that likes to dig year around. It is small enough to use inside with dried beans during the Fall, Winter, and/or rainy season. Little diggers want to play year around! My 4 year old son loves it!

We have shopped around for a sandbox for our 3 year old daughter for quite some time before we decided to go with this one. We knew we did not want a huge sandbox but something big enough for her to be entertained. This one fit the bill! One major plus that my daughter loved is that the lid attaches to the side of the sand box and is like a little ramp for the included truck to go down. Its a plus for me because I dont have to chase a blowing away lid around the yard lol! The crane that is attached is awesome, my daughter loves using it to dig around in the sand. Literally all you have to buy is sand. It comes with a truck,shovel,rake, two little construction workers and two sand sifters and of course the crane. We used two 50lb bags of sand and used about one and a half bags and it was perfect! She plays for in it for hours. It was a great buy for a amazing price!

I love that the sandbox has and excavator on it. My son loves excavators and that is his favorite part of the sandbox. At first it was really tough to move the bucket but now it moves really well and sometimes does not stay in one position because I think the white thing that clicks it into different positions broke on one side but it still works and he loves it. Its the perfect size. Not too big and not too small he can sit outside of it and play. It takes one bag of sand to fill and fits perfect in any size yard.

This little sandbox (and it IS pretty little) is really enjoyed by our kids, ages 2 and 4. My son loves the digger and my daughter likes to just scoop and dump the sand. There is no room for a child to sit in the sand box, which is fine with me, bc it means less mess, and my kids are perfectly happy to sit around the edge and play. It comes with a shovel and rake, 2 men/figurines a scooper cup and a softer cup and of course the big digger. The lid is an awesome feature too.

My son LOVES this sandbox. He really enjoys the large digger and dump truck that’s included as well as the little play people. I really like it for him too, but I just wish it were a little bit bigger. One 50lb bag of sand from Lowe’s was enough to fill it a little over 1/2 way full.

What can I say? It’s your typical sandbox. I personally was not expecting it to stay dry after having some rain but it did and that impressed me. My son loves playing in the sand and digging it all out with his toys. Even our dogs jump into it and dig as well. The only drawback is the size as it seems to be much bigger from pictures online. Showing 3 kids playing in it seems unrealistic unless they were all babies but 3 toddlers or older kids, no!

I love this sandbox, for the most part. Its the perfect size for my 2 year old son, & it has all the things he loves to play with, like the dump truck, rake & shovel (to name a few); however, the piece on the underside of the excavator that is supposed to hold it in, does not stay on. Be aware that you will have to reinforce this with something else, like a screw, yourself. If you don't mind having to do that, then this is an awesome little sandbox! Oh, & it only needed 2 bags of the brown sand, sold at Walmart's Lawn & Garden center. That was a plus because they were heavy!

Perfect for our 2 year old grandson! He loved it ... he immediately crawled on top of it before we could every put it together!! We don’t even have sand in it yet - but he uses it like a toy box so far .... but once Summer gets here and we put sand in it - it will be a brand new toy for him! Lol!!

We purchased this for our 2 1/2 year old. My sister saw this and purchased it for her 1 year old. It's perfect for playing from the outside of the box for larger kids. We have a severe ant problem so we didn't put sand in this. My son's imagination is fabulous when it comes to playing with his trucks. It makes a perfect discovery toy. We have also used it outside as a water toy. My son plays with his boats sliding them into the water. He loves moving water from one container to another as well as watching water "sprinkle" from from the sieves that come with it. Splashes around inside it to cool off on hot spring (so far) days. My only complaint was the excavator was a challenge to put on and it doesn't seem as sturdy as the rest of the build.
