Generally packaged well and meets the “prime” grade easily. Value priced as compared to other merchants prime beef. I worked as a supervisor in processing for IBP and judged meat products while a student at Oklahoma State University. I have purchased prime cuts from Allen Bros, Crest and others over the years and am satisfied with Sam’s for the aforementioned reasons. ‘

Saw them by chance a couple weeks ago and gave the prime a try. I usually buy the choice...I’m not switching back, prepared these a couple days ago for us and my mother in law and she couldn’t stop raving about how it was one of the best steaks she’s ever had, and we have steak at least once or twice each month. I agree! Not going back. Give them a try! I used my sous vide precision immersion cooker and cooked them for two hours at 133 degrees, then finished under a torch. The steaks were medium rare. AMAZING!

First of all I'm not sure we are all reviewing the same steaks on here. The USDA Prime Strip Steaks are the ones they are putting out in the blue trays not black. These steaks are absolutely the most tender juicy steaks I have ever had. And this is coming from someone who will not eat meat that is anything less than well done to slightly burnt. I don't think you could ruin these steaks even if you tried. I highly recommend them. They are delicious.

Purchased PRIME NY strip this weekend and was very disappointed, the steak had a large gristle running throughout, although my dog enjoyed it, I did not. I hope someone from Sam's looks at these reviews and up grades the quality of their cuts. For not the other warehouse store does a better job at the same price. Long time member.

I ordered these steaks with a little hesitation thru curbside. I was hoping they wouldn't be loaded with fat and to my surprise they weren't. Next I was hoping they would be tender and they were delicious. I just seasoned them and cooked them in the air fryer and they were so yummy. Will definitely order again.

I've bought these 3 times now and they seem to be more like a choice cut. Not a bad price, but this will probably be my last purchase of this item. They always give you 1 good steak that is trimmed well, but the second one never is. Another way to simply rob the consumer.

This isn't a "Prime Steak," Just paid $14.48/ lb for what appeared to be a highly marbled prime NY Strip steak. Grilled it to medium rare. It was one of the the toughest & chewist steaks. of any low end cut, I have ever had. Very, very disappointing.

Prime is the best however some of these cuts should not be called Prime. We buy them every trip 4 out of 5 times we get great stakes but then you get the hard to cut and chew ones and you swear not to waste $25.00 again. The last time I was so mad then I saw them the next time and gave it one more shoot because they are so good and it was. PLEASE SAMS BETTER CONSISTENCY these are so good most of the time.

I have purchased Prime Ribeye Steaks twice and recently purchased Prime strips and have yet to get what I would consider as Prime Beef. I can get Choice beef other places which are much better than your Prime both in tenderness and taste. I have no idea as to how you determine what is Prime but I have never received a decent steak when purchasing from my Sam's Club and will no longer try again.

Purchased today August 23rd, 2023 at the Sam's Club in Columbus, Indiana. We have been buying meat at Sam's club for quite a few years and something seems to have changed. $15.99 a pound. They looked decent in the package. I've been cooking steaks a long long time. We both thought that the steaks had no flavor to speak of, and lacked the tenderness of prime beef. They weren't as good as the regular strips they sell, and, last night's burgers were far superior. I Doubt if we purchase these again. We used to buy them quite frequently and they were delicious. These were a huge huge disappointment and a total waste of money. I would rate them 2 stars at best.
