I spoke with a butcher at Sam's and ordered 6 one inch thick prime NY strip steaks. They were ready and trimmed with nice marbling when I picked them up. (Kudos to the butcher!) I cooked them per my routine method but found they lacked the flavor I have come to expect from a prime NY strip steak. Generally, I am very pleased with meat purchases from Sam's, but not this time. I was disappointed and embarrassed when I served them to my dinner guests.

Steak turned out superb and retained natural flavor and juices! Prepped and cooked in less than 15 minutes on the gas grill!!
