These shorts are great for casual-to-dressy summer wear. They go well with polos and button-downs. As a pretty muscular guy, I often have trouble with finding shorts that fit (i.e. have enough room in the seat for me to sit down). These shorts stretch and are really comfortable. Finding shorts that I can sit in and look nice has been a challenge for me and these fit the bill.

My husband loved these shorts so much we went back and got another color. They wash well and stay looking great. They also wear well without wrinkling. We got a size 35 which was nice as you don't find the odd sizes in shorts very often.

The best feature of these shorts is that they don't have the wrinkled, rumpled look of cotton shorts after they have been worn for a few hours. The nylon/spandex blend gives a little and the shorts always looks neat.

I now have these shorts in 4 colors. I love them. I wear them hiking and just around the house. The sizing was very accurate. I love the material rather than just regular cotton shorts. These are much better for outdoorsy type stuff. They dry really fast too if you are wearing them in water.

I bought two pairs of these shorts for my husband for an upcoming trip. He hasn't worn them yet, but when they came he tried them on and liked them. They will pack nicely, not wrinkle, don't weigh alot and look very nice on. I'm sure he'll also be wearing them for golf this summer!

it was great to get shorts made for a tall man - the extra little bit of leg length is really appreciated! these are also really comfortable because of the bit of the stretch in fabric. I hope these last as along as I think they will - I should have ordered several pairs!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these shorts for my husband. He loves them. He works in our yard in Florida heat in a pair and doesn't complain of sweat or heat as he does in some heavier fabrics. These aren't noisy like some other non-cotton fabrics can be, and they fit him well despite him being able to move. We ordered another pair for vacation he likes them so much.

I loved the material and construction. I am a true 32' waist, and unfortunately, the shorts fit very large. I had to return this pair and bought 30" similar shorts in the store.

I have purchased many of the Travex guide shorts. Both the cargos and chinos. The chinos have become less consistent with regards to sizing. I purchased one LT Khaki and one Carbon both in waist 35. The Carbon fits very well in the waist but the LT khaki is at least two sizes to large. It literally was falling off at the waist and sliding down my sides. I tried on the carbon only and threw the receipt away. So here I am with a short that is too large for me. (and it should not be) Someone dropped the ball on quality control. Besides the sizing concerns. the Travex Guide shorts are my favorite shorts when they fit correctly. Comfortable, lightweight, flexible and look good for whatever reason. I only use these when I travel. They work on the trail, in the city and going to dinner.

I purchased a size 33 pair online and it showed up measuring in at 36" before stretch. Went to outlet and their version fits very different not in a good way. Drove to a retail store and the same color and size as purchased online fit like a glove but then 2 other color pairs at the store fit a few inches bigger and longer and I needed to size down to a 30 and 32. All of my guide pro shorts and pants have been a 33 no matter the color. If you are able to try these on in store then I highly recommend them but having so many off sizes and slowest shipping available makes this a no go for online purchase. These shorts fit well and work well hiking over a wide range of movement. Color choice is nice but I wish Eddies would bring back the dusted indigo colors for shorts and pants or ascent blue. The softshell material is the same or similar to guide pro shorts and pants and is very comfortable, repels light rain, and cleans easy.
