Poor quality design & longevity

We saw this power washer & thought the price, & features looked worth the money. During the 11 months we've owned it, we can say this: Pros; fair price, decent pressure output (for being electrically powered), & a nice set of accessories. Cons; poor design, (the water inlet & outlet are screw-on, not snap-on, and being at the very bottom of the unit make it a pain to screw them on. Plus, the threads are plastic & easy to cross-thread), the soap dispenser is very easy to fall off since the fitting is only 1/4 turn to remove. The hose can knock the dispenser loose, and then you have 2 cups of liquid soap to clean up. Finally, the auto‐on/off failed after just 11 months of casual use for car washing. The unit now never shuts off when releasing the wand trigger. This causes the pump to keep running & blew out the O-ring on the hose. Final verdict: this power washer lasted less than a year. We recommend avoiding this product.

Water hose rupture with no support from Sun Joe

I bought the pressure washer on 31 Mar and used it on 1 Apr. After an hour, the water hose began to leak excessively at the connection to the spray gun. I called Sun Joe this morning (5 Apr) and told them what happened. I was told a gasket failed and they could give me the specifications so I replace it myself. When I asked for a replacement hose, they said they are on back order and could not replace it. I was then told because it's less than 30 days, I could return it to Sam's Club for a replacement or my money back. Sun Joe waived all responsibility for the failure and placed it back on me to resolve with Sam's Club. I would not recommend this product or any other Sun Joe product.

TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME

I bought this on a Saturday. I put it together and come to find out the spray gun has no adapter on it with no way of attaching the high pressure hose to the gun. Tuesday (Monday was Labor Day) and come to find out I have to exchange the entire unit at Sams or mail it in because the one adapter they can't send to me. Sam's is a 3 hour trip that I make infrequently so talk about an inconvenience. I will never buy a "Joe" product again and Sam's shouldn't stock them.

1st use impressions.

I’m comparing this to a greenworks 1700 psi pressure washer I paid $79 for, Memorial Day weekend, 2019. Pros: It has a handle & wheels, so it’s easier to move around while using, & stores in a smaller footprint. One needs to move it around a fair amount, because the pressure hose is exactly as short as the greenworks’. Maybe a coupling could join them together. A swivel would be great, too, because, like the greenworks, you’ll be un-twisting said hose frequently. Cons: The pressure was disappointing. I expected 400 more psi out of this unit, than the greenworks, especially an aged 5 years greenworks. The promise of organization & storage with the wand holder, pressure hose & power cord hooks doesn’t really deliver. The upper wand holder came off 3x, because, while it has a locking tab, there’s nothing for it to lock into, so I’ll have to run a screw in. I tried wrapping the power cord from the hook (which required me to slide it off, just like the wand holder slides off, & reattach it upside down)to the handle, which kind of worked, with the addition of a Temu cord keeper (piece of nylon with Velcro), & I used another on the pressure hose, which I wrapped around its holder-didn’t find a way to keep it better, like the power cord, except employing the Temu keeper. Meh!

Not sturdy

Have used this a couple times and during a routine use, the hose that attaches th wan to the machine, blew off the machine. When it did this, it stripped where it screws into the machine. I now have a machine that I cannot attach the wand to and I am probably outside the return window.

Worked well until the o-ring broke. No Sunjoe part

Bought this on 14 Aug 2023, and after about 1/2-hour of use the o-ring on the nipple that goes into the gun apparently broke as water started spraying all over at that connection point. After disconnecting the hose from the gun saw that the o-ring was now a c-ring. Managed to fix it with some teflon tape to finish my pressure washing job, and have been dealing with Sunjoe ever since. First they claimed to never receive a response from me to their emails (which I never received except to tell me I didn't respond). Then I decided to call and thought I was getting somewhere. A replacement kit was on its way. But not the right kit, nowhere close to the right size o-ring. So just called again to let them know that, and was told to "outsource the o-ring on my own" (go find one) and if I can't then call them and they'll replace the unit but I have to return the original one. Pretty sure I can find one that will work, but disappointed that they don't have the correct parts for their brand new units. Other than that, happy with the unit and how it did on my house. Wish I had gotten it at the current sale price ($44 less than what I paid for it).

SunJoe 2700-MAX:5-6 times used, broken, water leak

After 5-6 times used in 2.5 years , it had a blast and water start to rush under the unit.Very disappointed. I had the SPX -2700-MAX Sept 29,2024. Dissembled the unit and found the problem. The plastic piece which connects the water into the motor had a crack. This is design flaw. When you tighten the hose to the connected you put pressure the plastic piece which is hold by a single screw. Event it is a hard plastic , it may crack.

Disappointed.

Worked well at first. Cleaner my deck, drive way and motorcycle with it and it worked great…. At first. In the middle of using the pressure washer the wand split. Didn't drop it or hit it against anything. It just started spraying out the side of the wand. Trying to find a replacement is near impossible.

A little overwhelmed with all the parts

There's not a good place to secure the electrical cord after use
