I really didn’t want to jump on the bandwagon, but I am afraid i have to... i tried the new scent. It really wasnt that bad when I smelled it in the store, so i picked it up. When it came out of the wash, it really wasnt bad. However, when it dried... oh my. Whoever said it smells like an ‘old lady’ parfume nailed it. I really, really dislike it. I am writing because i know you care about consumer opinion. Please bring the old scent back. I am going to switch to an alternative. I am not into scent boosters for kids laundry, so that option is not for me.

All I can say Dreft is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." The new scent is awful. I've been using Dreft for literally decades because I am very sensitive to fragrances. I couldn't believe how my comforter smelled after washing it in the new scent last night. Awful. I don't want a scent, I want scent-free. I just order two bottles of 7th Generation Free and Clear from Amazon.

My children have sensitive skin, so I will take any measures in order to help protect them. This includes the soap I was their clothes with. I love the light fresh scent, which makes their clothes smell clean yet not overpowering. It gets the job done, vanishing all of my kids’ tough stains. Whenever I attend a baby shower, I love to make gift baskets filled with my favorite products. Each basket always has a bottle of Dreft! This is something that many people don’t think to gift, or first time mothers even think to purchase. I am happy to help them think of the things like detergent, that can easily be overlooked. We will continue to purchase this detergent even when they are no longer young. The scent will always remind me of when I first starting using it, which brings so much nostalgia! I keeps my baby's shirts from having those yellow formula stains on the neck. It is very easy to use, just measure the correct amount into the cap and pour into yiur washing machines designated area. It does all of the work. I recommend.

These clothes didn't have any stains so I can't honestly say how well it gets stains out. It was gentle on the clothes and gentle on my son's skin. The price point is high so if I probably wouldn't buy it for my son unless I absolutely had to and he does fine with the detergent everyone uses.

Whoever decided to change the Dreft scent to something so toxic has clearly never had a newborn. I’ve asked 32 pediatric doctors if they’d recommend this new scent to their newborns; in which all responded with a solid ABSOLUTELY NOT. If you use this for your newborn, please extra rinse. The smell is very toxic for such young babies. Now that Dreft no longer carries their “signature” scent in liquid laundry detergent, but laundry beads instead (which is a whole different story related to the danger ingredients to babies skin). Dreft doesn’t care about mothers opinions, they care about the money from parents wallets. They have no intentions of bringing back the original scent in the liquid detergent. It’s marketing, that’s how it works. Instead they have you buy two products, the Pure unscented detergent and blissful beads to mix. They know moms are desperate enough to spend more money on buying both (just to get back that sentimental smell). Now with Dreft having no way to “claim” the scent for “liquid laundry detergent”; since they don’t make it in liquid form. I’m curious if another laundry detergent company is able to take that scent and make their own liquid detergent.
