This gate worked perfect for the space that I wanted to cover. I have an opening approx. 54" wide between two rooms that I wanted to make sure our new puppy nor our grand kids could not have easy access to. The main thing that drew me to this product was that it does not require you to bolt it to a wall like some of the others. It uses pressure screws which seem to work well enough for my needs under normal usage. I also like the fact that it comes with 3 extensions in addition to the main section which will allow me to use it in smaller or larger spots. The door had a locking mechanism that needs to be pulled back in order to open it. Not easy for a small child to pull on and accidentally open. If I ever need another one, this is the one that I will make sure to purchase.

Very sturdy. My husband installed it. Wasn't quick, but wasn't too complicated. Drilling into the wall makes the gate very sturdy. Other gates are always slipping down, but this one isn't going anywhere. With the extensions the total width is 58 inches which is exactly what we needed. The lock on the swinging door is tricky at first, but now I'm used to it and it's easy. Very satisfied especially for the price.

The area where I installed the gate is 54 inches. It was extremely hard getting the gate into that area. I had to use all 3 extentions which were wider than the area. The gate's door has a gap which is fixed once the gate is adjusted. I had to squeeze the gate into the area where I needed the gate which scratched the wall's paint off. I adjusted it to make the door gap disappear and even though its adjusted to the maximum capability, the gate can be pushed forward and backwards. I'm using the gate to keep my puppy out of the living room when needed. He is not able to push the gate where it dislocates but I believe if the gate was being used for a child, the child would be able to push the gate out of place. The door is a little hard to open, especially with one hand. I noticed one side is slightly curved, I am guessing it is due to me having to squeeze the gate into the area where I needed it. Overall, I do not regret purchasing even with the issues listed above.

The door is easy to operate and locks securely when closed. I can now safely keep my 15 month old son in the room with me, without worrying about him sneaking off if I turn my gaze for a second.

After reading some reviews i pursue to purchase it. Glad I did cause it's easy to setup and wide enough. I even have 1-extra gate extension. Strong enough & its secure opening & closure for lil crawler. There's a gap between the gate opening/closure but once when completely adjusted both sides youll good to go. Hints: we have to screw tops to the wall for double safety purposes but not the lower part. Picture attached.

The directions said that there is supposed to be a gap in the door but the gap would close upon installation so that the door locks. Well, I put it together and the gap didn't close all the way so the door wouldn't stay closed. It took quite awhile and I had to tighten the gate quite a bit but the gap finally closed. It was trickier to install than I had anticipated and I almost took it back because I thought it wasn't right.

For our 46" hallway on the first level, this gate is perfect. I didn't want to mount it permanently, so the tension mount has worked out well. We don't have a toddler to contain; 2 pugs instead. The 'door' on the gate works well to let them in/out of that part of the first level. Appearance is OK - outweighed by the benefits it provides. Also, shipping was quicker than expected.

Got this gate for a wide opening it fit with the extensions but bowed out terribly. We had it as tight as it could go on the pressure mounts and you could still push the door right open without even working the latch. If you have a wide opening go with something that's one piece, this was unless.

This gate is for a 56" opening for my 16 month old granddaughter. She can push on the gate and it bows in the middle and moves. I was going to return it but we attached a piece of wood trim to the floor in the middle of the gate and now it works fine. I am disappointed about it bowing in the middle but we seemed to fix it. I like the door to walk thru. It sure makes it easier than climbing over it.

The gate looks so much better than the wooden one we had before. I would definitely recommend this to others. The only thing I wish I would of known before purchasing is that there are 4 plastic caps that are supposed to be screwed into the walls. I thought the gate was spring loaded to attach to the wall, but you just turn the feet till they are secure. I did not do this because I didn't want holes in my walls and I didn't think it was necessary.
