Hi there, this is unusual to hear, if you need help with assembly, please do call or email us! It could be that you have the arm attached incorrectly. One armrest goes on top of the chaise brackets, the other goes under the sofa side brackets. Also - please note, we do include measurements on site so dimensions and size can be visualized.
