This is a beautiful looking cake for the holidays, which is why we purchased it. The cake part is good, but the filling is largely flavorless thin whip cream (unsweetened perhaps?). The white layer had a little flavor but was not good either. We could not eat it at all. Very disappointing!

Only time I ever see this cake in stores or bakeries is usually when I travel. Due to covid and not able to travel this year I was surprised and happy to see this cake at Sam's. It is a big 'bar' as they call it but it's THE WORST I've ever ate. Dry cake and the mousse is not even something I'd dare calling a mousse. The cake..correction 'bar' comes frozen to the store and they just thaw it out and you can tell that by the ice crystals and water laying in the bottom of the cake tray. If your someone who just loves chocolatey sweet things well this will be up your alley but if you want a true tuxedo cake go somewhere else for it.

I love this cake (too much). The flavor is phenomenal. The different layers make it interesting. However, be prepared...it is impossible to cut a slice and not have all the layers separate and fall about in little sticks. That part was disappointing.

The reviews had me hyped for this cake, but while it was beautiful and perfectly moist, I confess I found it to be out of balance, flavorwise. The generous layer of whipped cream was no match for the unrelenting bittersweet chocolate flavor of the cake, ganache, and icing. I'll stick with tiramisu!

Tastes good. Flavors reminiscent to a fudge round lil Debbie cake but not as artificial.

This is one of the best cakes I have ever eaten. I hope it will always be available at Sam’s.
