I bought this product to send with my 2.5 year old at summer day care. It is the perfect size to fill her up. Speaking as a teacher, I love this box because my child can open and close it on her own, which is helpful when there is a room full of kids. This creates independence!

Love Bentgo products and was excited to try this item. I love the concept of the ice pack being a part of the lunchbox itself. The particular one we ordered had an issue with the locks not staying shut (opening on their own or from simply touching the top of the closed box) but one email to the warranty/customer service department had a new one of its way to me. I’m currently awaiting that replacement and I’m sure the new one will be fine as we just most likely received a defective one. We have other Bentgo products that we have enjoyed using for years! Great customer service!

I love the joyful colors and design. It’s bigger than I thought for my current needs but the extra space will certainly become essential as my almost 3 year old needs to haul more things. I just got it so can’t say but the fabric feels and seems easy to clean. The lunch box compartment fits more than a the lunchbox (utensils, a whole apple?) My kid gasped when she saw it (so cute) She approves. Oh and lots of pockets inside (essential)

My daughter loves her new Bentgo Mermaid scales bookbag and lunch box. The book bag has a lunch box compartment that is perfect for packing lunch daily and keeping food temperatures stable so my daughters lunch is always fresh. We have been using this box for a year and it fits all my 4 yr old's lunch. The compartments keep each quadrant cordoned off throughout travel, the ice pack keeps everything cooled off in the Texas heat. We manage fitting in a sandwich by cutting in half and using the two largest compartments. All around a great box. Customer service has been speedy too. Loving the 2 yr warranty.

I like the concept of this lunch box. However, you do have to leave the bottom ice pack in the freezer for overnight in order for food to stay cool but doesn’t stay cool long enough. It is a bit heavy for my child to carry. I do wish they had this concept for a snack box size, it would be easier for little ones.

I did a trial run at home with the ice pack and wasn’t impressed. It didn’t stay cold for hardly 2 hours. But other than that it’s a very cute lunch box and easy for a small child to open. I would be afraid to pack something that requires it to be kept cool for more than an hour or hour and a half.

I really like this backpack, I've had it for a year now and it still looks brand new! It's sturdy and dependable and the bottom insulated portion is a very nice feature - fewer things to bring to school! My kiddos likes the backpack too, he's almost 5 and it fits him really well.

I always wanted to have a lunchbox (bento style) that will keep my kid’s food (like hummus, cheese, avocado, etc) cold and fresh for hours till they eat at lunch, this is definitely the best one you can find that will do that! The portions inside are good, easy to open and the size is perfect for their lunch boxes! Will highly recommend!!!

We bought a few of these a year ago and after a little while, it became impossible to get all four sides of top to snap shut. I can usually get 3 sides snapped if I spend a minute to do so, but the last side never fully shuts. We have taken care of it the way instructions note (too rack dishwasher safe). The issue is that, food items/liquid spill out since it can’t be completely shut. When my kid returns from daycare, the backpack is completely covered in food and has to be washed because the box couldnt be closed shut. So, not worth it-especially at the high price tag.
