It is so difficult to find pure peanut oil these days in any of the local grocery stores or anywhere for that matter. We were thrilled to find it of course at Walmart and at a great price. It arrived in less than 2 days and we are very pleased with this purchase.

I've noticed that the box was leaking oil I was trying to get the delivery lady attention she kept walking away. I've told her that my box is leaking she being speaking in Spanish she was rude and unprofessional she aslo had a little boy with her she began to drive off I approach my peanut oil noticed it was damaged This is extremely inconvenience due to the fact I have to deepfry two turkeys and now I'm unable to do so because my oil is damaged and it was tampered with (open)...

I use this brand of oil in my deep fryer for various foods, such as fries, pies, egg rolls, doughnuts. The flavor can't be beat. I have used canola and vegetable oils in the past, but they do not surpass the peanut oil with flavor. The other oils tend to leave a burnt taste on foods, where the peanut oil does not. I had read that peanut oil is the ideal oil to use when frying at high temps. I have used this oil to deep fry turkey in the turkey fryer, and once again the turkey turned out moist on the inside and pleasantly crisp on the outside. One last thing to mention, I resorted to ordering online, since peanut oil was not available when I went to my local stores. Thank you for saving the day, Walmart.

I bought the cooker and oil The cooker needed a MAJOR tune-up before it could be safely used. Not hard to do but time consuming. Crummy casting. The whole thing had to be assembled and reassembled several times before all the casting flaws were removed and the flame adjusted properly. I lent a neighbor my 3 ga box of oil so he could cook his turkey. When I went back to the store to buy some more, I couldn't find it anywhere. I had to re-order this oil online and wait for it. No big deal in the scheme of things. Just wasn't available when I needed it. I got it in time for Christmas dinner and was easy enough to use and the turkey was quite good if I do say so myself!

Perfect for our turkey deep fryer. Honestly I never thought I would try one let alone own one, but then I tried a fired turkey cooked in this peanut oil and it was the best turkey I ever had. I have been told to keep it strained and it will last several uses , so that what I am doing. Kudos to Walmart for delivery during Covid!

This is the best peanut oil however, its $5.96 cheaper to buy 3 one gallon bottles! I like to have the separate bottles so I can easily add fresher oil as needed, too. Surprising that it's cheaper to buy it in smaller bottles-gotta watch that kind of stuff!

Great oil for deep frying at a resonable price. However, I would pick it up at store rather than have it delivered...even if it is free. I ordered two three gallon containers on two difference dates and the boxes were pretty banged up. Luckily the container itself wasn't damaged.

I am a Canadian who travels to Walmart Ogdensburg every month.This Walmart to my mind is the best I have ever been to. I am originally from East India and we used Postman brand peanut oil back home. Peanut oil is not available in Canada. I was pining for peanut oil as nothing is healthier and tastier than it. I get Lou Anna shipped to Walmart Ogdensburg and pick it from there. It imparts the same great authentic taste that I used to enjoy back home through POSTMAN brand peanut oil. I bought two 3 gallon jugs in my last trip to Ogdensburg. Great for all types of cooking- low flame, low heat, high heat and roasting.

Most people buy this for turkey friers, but I use this in my kitchen, making french fries, donuts, potato chips, etc. I chose peanut oil because it has the reputation of having a high smoke point. I run my french fryer at the highest setting, 400F, and it doesn't smoke at all. If it was poorlt refined, that wouldn't be the case. When the fryer oil level gets low, say, 30 uses over the course of a month, I demp the oil in my grease pot and use it for things like frying erggs. Even after all that heating and cooling, the oil hasn't broken down to give a nutty tastel it's still essentially taste-free, as it should be when new. The box is big (there's a plastic jug inside, but the recommend not removing it from the box), so when I get it out to refill the fryer, I refill a couple of bottles that oil came in, and I keep the box where space is not so precious as my kitchen cabinets. I think of peanut oil as being almost as thick as corn oil, but this doesn't give food a greasy taste. I use it as a salad oil, mixing my own version of Good Seasons Italian. When I refrigerate the dressing, the vinegar/oil mix turns cloudy and thick. My cruet is too tall for my microwave, and too light when half-empty to warm in a water bath, so rather than getting the dressing out and waiting 3-4 hours for it to warm up, I just leave in unrefrigerated. If you don't use a cruet of dressing every couple of days, that's probably inadvisable. I used to do fats and oils research for Central Soya, so I'm fairl.y informed. I avoid rapeseed (canola) and soy products in all forms; I consider them to be unfit for consumption. Olive oil is too unstable for frying with. Lard is healthful, but it's 2-3 times as expensive as peanut oil, so I save it for things like pie dough or biscuits. This is a very economical way to buy a really good oil for frying, and an OK oil for refrigerated dressings. I'll be ordering again soon. I'll wait until there's something small I want to order, and by adding this box of oil, reach the $50 threshold for free shipping.

Have used this oil to fry turkeys many times in the past. What prompted me to write the review this go around was the super fast shipping. After not being able to find it at the stores like I usually do, I decided to order it online. Had the oil within 2 days of ordering. "Outstanding" shipping speed!
