Better deal here than everywhere else that marks it up for the holidays. We buy one each year for a deep fried turkey.

Great oil for deep frying at a resonable price. However, I would pick it up at store rather than have it delivered...even if it is free. I ordered two three gallon containers on two difference dates and the boxes were pretty banged up. Luckily the container itself wasn't damaged.

Our Family was turned onto FRIED TURKEYS over 8 years ago when Butterball came out with their Large Electric Turkey Fryer. We stated back then using the 3 Gallon Container of LouAna Peanut Oil and never looked back. Walmart has an excellent price and the best part is that it's delivered right to our door.

I bought the cooker and oil The cooker needed a MAJOR tune-up before it could be safely used. Not hard to do but time consuming. Crummy casting. The whole thing had to be assembled and reassembled several times before all the casting flaws were removed and the flame adjusted properly. I lent a neighbor my 3 ga box of oil so he could cook his turkey. When I went back to the store to buy some more, I couldn't find it anywhere. I had to re-order this oil online and wait for it. No big deal in the scheme of things. Just wasn't available when I needed it. I got it in time for Christmas dinner and was easy enough to use and the turkey was quite good if I do say so myself!

i find it funny you have to pay more for this in central square than in cicero shouldn't prices be the same, and when you get to the register make sure it matches the the price on the shelf, sad they over charge and instead of changing the price say it's inflation.

I have been using LouAna Peanut Oil for several years in my Turkey Fryer and I have to say the oil holds up very well even after cooking over 5 Turkeys in the same oil. The Turkeys always come out looking and tasting great. This is the only oil I will ever use for frying, it's the best, but don't take my word for it, buy some and try it. I'm sure you will love it. In closing let me say this, shop around for the best price, I did, but I can tell you now, nobody has a better price then Walmart. FYI, I do not have any financial interest with LouAna or Walmart, just giving my honest opinions

Perfect for the deep-fried turkey. We've used this brand for several years now. Deep-frying a turkey is perfectly safe if you follow the rules: 1) Do it outside on a non-flammable surface 2) Turn the flame OFF when lowering the bird into the oil. The oil WILL boil and spatter and MAY overflow, but removing the ignition source GREATLY reduces the chance of conflagration. 3) Wear a long sleeve jacket and gloves while lowering the bird into the hot oil. 4) If there was overflow, wait to re-ignite the burner until no oil is overflowing the vat.
