Weak Sidewall Tires

Drove over a pothole and a front tire sidewall cracked and tore.. I didn't think much of it because hey, those kinds of things happen. But a week later the outside sidewall on one of my rear tires developed a big bubble - totally unrelated to the pothole incident. I have absoluteltly no faith in these tires. In fact, my feeling is they are a high risk purchase.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We recommend returning to the place of purchase to have the tire inspected for warranty consideration. The local dealer should be able to determine if the damage is due to impact with the pothole or another issue. Should you or the dealer have a question, please contact our office Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM ET, at 1-800-847-3349.

Never again

I purchased a set of 4 exactly 2 years ago yesterday. 22,000 miles later, they need to be replaced. My tread depth is 1/32" and both right side tires are at a 3 with the lefts being a 4 and 5. I have had my tires rotated with every oil change, ever 3,000 miles so I am sorry, these are not worth it. The rights should at least have been covered under warranty.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Based on the information provided, a low tread depth of 1/32" with a high tread depth ranging from 3/32" - 5/32", this may point towards a vehicle issue. For ongoing tracking, it is a good idea to request tread depth measurements across the face of the tires and in three locations around the circumference.

70,000 miles and still has tread left

I don't understand all the review for poor treadlife. My 2009 Ford Fusion came with the ContiPro and I have racked up 70,000 of mixed highway long-distance driving and inner city. I am so pleased with this tire, I am buying it again! Maybe it is the driver - not the tire that determines the wear.

OEM Tires - Have Performed Well

The ContiProContact were OEM on my 2010 VW TDI Sportwagon. I have 53K on the car and looks like the tires would go the full 60k warranty. Just lost one yesterday due to road hazard so replacing two with the original. Will let the other two go to near 60k. The handling has been excellent in all weather even now at high mileage. I agree with other posts that they did get noisy. This was past 35K but manageable for me since I drive almost always windows up on the highway. The tire that suffered road hazard in the sidewall also had what appeared to be some herniation in that area so suspect previous damage. They've served well and received only normal rotation/inflation care.

Outperforms all others in its class!

My everyday style of driving is likened to that of a race driver. I have driven on these tires all the while testing them to their limits on dry speed, handling and braking, and wet speed, handling and braking with Superb Results! I don't go anywhere without my ContiProContact tires and I leave all casual drivers, commuters, speedsters and long haul drivers in the zig-zaggety-zag-zag-ziggety dust. ContiProContact: Trust no others! Hailing from the south eastern U.S., ah-ha-ha-ha.

Definitely would buy this kind of tires again

Tires came with my Buick Verano 2016 Touring Edition Endured the heavy full pack drive from San Diego to Virginia encountering storms, some dirt road in Texas and Potholes along the way. I even went like 120 mph on it. I have 34,000 miles on my car and I love going fast the tires keeps up with me even with the curbs on exits when you slow down from 80 down to a 25 miles exit. I would definitely buy the same tires as replacement when the time comes because it's already tested.

Worst Tires Ever

I got the tires new on my 2012 Ford Focus. I bought the tires from Classic Ford in Cambridge Ohio. The Dealership does not back the warranty and the tires wear out fast. These are the worst Tires I ever had on any vehicle. I would never recommend these tires for anyone. If you purchase a a vehicle and the tires are these ones or this brand go to a different dealership. I wish I had the knowledge I have now about these tires and I never would have bought this car from Ford.

Junk

These tires came standard on my new 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300. After 1.5 years, 1 tire had a side lump and the dealer had to replace it (with a similar piece of junk to match). After 2.5 years and 27,000 miles the thread is completely wore off... I have to buy new tires to return my 3yr lease. Will never buy Continental again, and make it a deal breaker that my new lease do NOT have this brand.

Garbage Tires

These tires came on my 2012 Hyundai Elantra. I've owned the car for 17 months and have 13,300 miles on the car. I baby my vehicle, tires rotated as they should be. I had it in for the next tire rotation two days ago when the dealer tells me they need replaced NOW before we get any snow (I live in southwest PA). Tires are all worn evenly, but ANY tire should last more than 13,000 miles - oh wait, he said I MIGHT get another 1,000 -3,000 on them. I didn't have any problems with these tires, but I certainly would never buy them after this experience - and I'll be sure to check if they're stock on the next car I buy. It WILL make a difference in what I purchase next!

Not good enough for an OEM install

Tires where installed by OEM on my new 2012 VW Passat TDI, they are noisy, hard to balance and show signs of extreme wear even before my first 15000 KM service at VW. My warranty claim to VW was refused since they do not deal directly with tire manufacturers or so I was told, and they blamed it on my driving habit.
