Crispy outside, disappointing otherwise

Cooked them in the air fryer at first and noted the bland flavor and rough texture of the fish. During cooking it seems that the fish loses a lot of moisure, but the moisture can't escape so you end up with internally dry but externally wet fish. I tried again in the oven but the results were the same. They're not bad enough to throw them in the trash, but not good enough to warrant buying. Gordon's seems way better and I'd rather have fish sticks than these.

Great batter good tasting fish

I deep fried these. First batch I fried at 350°F... They were very brown, the insides were maybe 135°F. Second batch I cooked at 335°F for 3 minutes and pulled them out and then set the oil to 350°F.... Much better doing the double fry, just as crispy but the fish was hot and yummy

Air Fryer Directions Are Wrong !

The directions for air fryer had the temperature too low and not long enough. Two pieces of mine were hard and I had to interrupt my meal by putting them back in the air fryer @400 degrees for another 3 mins (I checked at 1 1/2 mins. still hard). I cook frozen dinners 2/3 of my meals and I have never had this happen. I use my air fryer all the time and the time and temp. is always correct. I am afraid now I could get sick. I am not a sickly type and never have stomach issues, but...I'm worried. The fish tasted good, if I ignored the uncooked part. I had no enjoyment eating it though. This fish should be cooked @400 degrees for 12-14 mins, NOT 9 mins @390!

Something Changed

At one time, we gave these a 5-Star review. However, the last two boxes tasted awful. They tasted overly fishy and heavily breaded. Also, guar gum is now listed as an ingredient. We only buy wild caught fish and don't mind paying for quality. Unfortunately, the quality of these has drastically plummeted. These filets now contain large, inedible, hard, discolored chunks that can not be chewed. No longer light and flaky. Our little one used to look forward to eating these and just said, "YUCK", they're "Bisgusting". Sadly, we agree. Please steer clear. We can no longer recommend these.

I like to bake my fish. At first this fish would stick to my cookie sheet, or alu. foil. I even oiled the sheet, or foil only to need to chisel the fish loose and destroying the cod. I invested in a modern cookie sheet and the fish glides free when baked.

Bring back the Beer Battered Cod Fillets!

We have been buying these for a while in our local Sam's Club, but haven't been able to find them in several months. They make a great quick meal. I put them in my air fryer, then fix some sides or wrap them in a tortilla for a quick fish taco. Please, Sam's Club, make these available again in our local club.

member mark cod fillets

I look for the cod fillets every time I shop at Sam’s Club. The cod fillets are crispy and very tasty! I simply spray my cookie sheet and bake. You need to flip the fillets to ensure that the fillets are crispy. The fillets are delicious! I love white fish with a light taste. These fillets definitely are worth the trip to Sam’s Club and are not over priced.

Enjoyed

We bought our first box last month and enjoyed every bite. Simple cooking instructions and came out of the oven perfect. Awesome beer batter!! The batter was crispy and the fish was flaky. On our second box and now a regular item on our family menu..

This was terrible

This fish doesn't hold up well. It breaks apart easily. Not only that it doesn't taste good. At least it should have some taste to it to not further disappoint. Tartar sauce couldn't save it. To top it off, I found several bones in it. Good thing I got to the fish 1st to taste it before my kids got to it. I was thinking about throwing it away, but figured I'll just give it another try but this time in the oven instead of the air fryer. Well after chomping on that bone I am officially trashing it. I would not recommend. I will not buy again.

Skip this purchase

The batter had a good taste and the outside got crispy in the oven and by deep frying but the inside batter didn't cook all the way. The fish itself was bland, rubbery and had fatty strands running through the middle of half the pieces I tried. Plus, even with oven baking, pieces were super greasy.
