Replaced my previous washer with another front load washer. I am short and 14 years ago I bought my first front loader and never had to struggle to get to the bottom of the washer. Also, I think there is NO twisted together clothing, there are less wringles and easy to load in the dryer which is the same height.

This washer does some things which I don’t understand. It’s wash cycles & rinse cycles seem too short even if I extend them. Also, after rinsing, the clothes don’t smell “clean”. Could this be because it rinsed too thoroughly or because it didn’t rinse long enough. It’s not the cleanness of the washer or its rubber gasket. It gets wiped down after each cycle & door is always left open. One fantastic thing about the washer is the way it dispenses bleach’. It does it evenly & does not leave bleach spots. I tried it on dirty whites & colored towels.

Sometimes I have to wash 2x because some clothes are still dry after the wash. The spin does not work properly because you can bring water out of your clothes esp towels and beddings after the wash cycle making drying longer and costly. I want to return.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is easy to use, nothing fancy on this model, and it clean our clothes well. It serves our needs. There is one unusual occurrence however - after each wash, water collects in the liquid detergent and liquid bleach trays. The washer is lever, so I am not sure why this occurs. I dry those trays when the wash is complete. Other than that, the washer is good.

I converted from from top load to front load washers with this machine. There is no longer any top load machine with a base frame that would stabilize the machine and have a quieter operation. I own this LG front load for 1 year so far and I am pleased with the washer's very quiet operation. Lack of an agitator means less punishment on my clothes. Even with the laundry door open, I can hardly hear the machine operating, with minimal floor vibration. Clothes come out almost dry with the high rotating speed around 1300 rpm, compared to 700 rpm for a front load machine. The machine works very well. I gave 4 stars because the control panel is not backlit so it is hard to see the settings. Without the backlight, I thought the washer was defective! I would have liked a setting of spin only - for items handwashed and needing a good spin only

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this front loading washer so much more than my last one. The opening is very large so it is easy to get the clothes in and out. It is easy to keep clean and doesn’t collect stuff in the door sealing gasket. It is easy to operate and easy to select options (I never did figure out my previous machine and basically chose the same for every load). I especially like the extra spin cycle for delicates as they come out almost dry and just need a touch ip in the dryer. It also stays in place even on a pedastal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer and I have used it for three months and I have never used a machine in which I have had to dilute the fabric conditioner, I use Downy. I have used that for 30 years and I have never have had that situation. I have follow that instruction and now the machine does not deliver the downy on the rinse cycle. I have clean everything , every tray and every tray. Still downy is not delivery in the rinse cycle. I don't know what to do. I would like to call for service . I can't find the # to call.

Delivered with care by two amazing guys that were incredibly kind and hooked up everything calm and carefully. Checked to make sure they were both working properly before they left. Very happy. We have done loads of laundry all weekend and they both did a fantastic job.

Bought this unit 4.5 years ago, partially based on reviews. Big mistake! The unit has a design defect, when spinning its Washer Hose With Bellow (LG port 4738ER1004B) "rubs" the vibrating drum and developes a hole, which starts leaking water to your floor. The very first time this happened 13 months after the purchase, i.e. it lasts "long enough" to survive the 12-m warranty. The next failure happened about a year ago, and this week here we go again. The washer is fully operational otherwise, the part is not expensive and easy to replace, but the potential for water damage is too big for my liking so it finally goes to the dump. I firmly believe that the company has to globally recall every single unit built with this part and provide a free replacement. Until this happens, I'm not buying their products.
