Very expensive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cartridges work very well but the prices are ridiculously high. Nice for your shareholders but very off-putting for your customers.

The HP 414X Hi Uield cartridges (especially black) have served me well for the past few years. Print is crisp with sharp edges and no smudges. I don't really count the pages but the ink lasts a long time before needing to replace. Good value.

I bought an expensive HP printer and now had to buy ridiculously expensive toner. The profit margin on HP toner is way too high and the printers are designed not to allow less expensive aftermarket toner.

My toner is fine...my problem is with the Color Laser Jet Pro MFP479fdw. When it works, it's fine, but when it doesn't, it's a pain. I have three computers sharing the network and the wireless connection repeatedly gets dropped. I have routinely unplugged the printer and taken it through the cycle while restarting the computer I want to print at the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've even unplugged my router at the same time and, as before, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I'm on the verge of dumping it. Why would I bother getting another, newer HP multifunction printer if I'm going to run into the same problem?

The quality of the ink is great, but the purchase price of each cartridge does give me regret in purchasing this model. I have an HP4301, and the quality is equally great, but with this model i was able to enroll in instant ink and have the cartridges automatically shipped to me at an affordable subscription price.

Would be a great printer if we could get it to only print on one side without going into the settings and changing it EVERY TIME we want to copy something. Also when the color inks run low and we go to black only or gray it doesn't let us print from a PDF file. looks like we might need to go to a Canon copier.

COST IS OUTRAGEOUS!

It would be appropriate to lower the cost of this product. The cost is excessive for what it is.
