The door on this gate swings both ways. As this is used at the top of a staircase which is used quite a bit this is beneficial. My only complaint is that the metal isn't as strong as I would have liked but my grandson has tried pulling on the gate and it does it's job.

-your doorway is 33-35", then the included 6" extension is too long, but the gate alone (in my opinion) becomes too unstable for strong little tots ticked off about being caged in! If needed, you can find a 4"extension at regalo-baby.com/gateextensions.html for $11 that does the trick. -you need to use the extension. The gate may be a bit wobbly, but nothing a strong hand and a pair of fat plyers can't fix.... or a piece of paper wedged in the gap of the joint. Pros: You can open the gate with one hand, it includes stablizers you can screw into the wall for a more confident hold. In the eye of the beholder- My 3yr old figured out how to open the gate within a minute. TG it's not for him! Overall the gate works for us, we will be purchasing another.

This gate is fairly sturdy, and I will be keeping it up, hoewever it was not very easy to install. I am using it at the top of a staircase, and it was impossible to make the bottom of the gate flush with the floor. It could not be maneuvered around the baseboard on my walls. This makes it awkward to go down the stairs. This gate is also not nearly as adjustable in size as the description states. Overall, not a terrible value for the money, but not a fantastic find, either.

I didn't know it was a pressure gate, make sure to read the fine print. The gate is great but I just expected more. But for the value and the greatest part keeps the little one from climbng up n down the stairs while making it impossible to open for the little one. lol..z:)

I purchased 3 of these gates in NJ, to contain my dogs before I moved to VA. This is my 4th one. The local store in VA didn't have them, so I used the site to store feature. Shipping was super fast and didn't cost me anything. I am totally satisfied with the product and service I received from WalMart. The Regalo gate sets up in a few minutes and has the walk-thru feature that makes removing the gate unnecessary. The bars are made of metal, which deters dogs from chewing them. These types of gates sell for much more in specialized baby stores. I highly recommend them for child or pet containment.

Easy open for adults, but still secure for kids. Love the locking feature since you don’t have to do that part each time you come through, if you’re just going to be a second you can still latch it shut without using the “lock". Easy easy to put up & stays secure.

I am so glad that I finally purchased a gate that opens in the middle instead of having to walk over or take down! It works great! This gate stays exactly where I want it at all times, even if my son shakes it! It keeps my 15 month old out of the kitchen and is very easy for everyone to open and get through, also is easy for the cat to fit through on the sides instead of have to jump over. This gate is very nice, that is is so tall as well. This is the 4th gate we have had since my son was born and I know this will be the last gate I will have to buy unless we move and need more gates. This gate is well worth the money and we should have just got this in the first place!

I bought this gate to once I moved to help keep my son out of the hallway. At first I thought that the gate was defective because of a gap in the frame at the lock but found that it was made that way and once it was secured it vanished. I would recommend this gate for everyone who doesn't like to walk over gates and its every nicely priced.

I am very happy with my regalo gates. I bought two gates to block off my kitchen and play room and confine our dog, mixed breed coon hound to the two rooms. The gates work fine and are doing the job. Installation was easy and secure and does not require any equipment other than your hands to tighten the parts that go on the wall. one opening is 40" and the other is 39", so we had to use the extension piece for both. the gates would not cover an opening any larger. price at Walmart was excellent. the gates were about half the price of a gate that I returned to Home Depot. delivery was also fine.

I love this baby gate. Our puppy started having luxating patella problems suddenly so we have to limit her space so she can begin to heal. I love this gate, it's easy to walk through and it works in our hallway which has a molded baseboard on the bottom. This gate has 4 places to adjust so this problem no longer exists. Exactly what we needed!
