This gate is everything it is advertised to be! I installed it alone in 5 minutes...simple and easy to read instructions. Well made, sturdy and very attractive. Absolutely secure fit, no damage to walls. Easy to remove when necessary and easy to replace. We use it to keep our two cats where we want them. Excellent value.

I purchased this gate for my puppie to keep him in the kitchen when he is eating (he likes to take food into my living room & eat it on the rug ugggg!) anyway I got it and was frustrated because I to do some assembly (Me & Manual Labor dont get along). To my amazement it was super easy and took me only 10 minutes to set it up! As long as you actually read the instructions assembly is really not complicated at all. I did not screw it into the walls because i did not want holes and it is only to confine a 6 lb Yorkie. Well, the gate does exactly what it suppose to do and it actually looks good. it is very sturdy and I love the fact that i dont have to step over the gate as I had to do with the previous gate i had or either keep removing it and putting it back up which is very annoying. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because although its great that i dont have to keep taking it down, putting it up or stepping over it is the gate has a bar at the bottom that sits on the floor and in the middle of the night i was half sleep and went to use the bathroom and forgot about the bar and tripped over it. And i have a feeling that wont be the only time that will happen to myself or house guest. other then that the gate is great. specially for the price. I would definately recommend it but warn you about the late night potty trips LOL!

i bought it to saw it mentioned suitable for 29inch to 34inch opening. my stairs opening is 33 inch. so without extension it seems small to fit and with extension its not fitting at all. disappointed that what they mentioned didn't fulfill. i tried a lot to fit it in 33inch opening. but didnt get succeed. going to return it. Please make sure its actual size as per your door gate opening before purchase.

I am so happy that I found this gate. I bought this to keep my dogs from getting into a bedroom that is sanctuary for my cats. The only drawback is that the cats can't slip between the metal grates, so I had to install the gate about 8" off the floor. So I still have to step over the bottom bar to get through the gate, but that's a big improvement over climbing over a standard baby gate.

I read such wonderful reviews on these gates but from what i found i would not recommend them for anyone over 100lbs. My husband and I, both average size people, have a hard time fitting with a baby on our hip. You litterally haveto turn side ways. Also w/o the extendor it was too small, with the extendor it was too big. Just a hassel. We ended up spending more money and getting a better quality gate. One plus is it seemed pretty sturdy but the gate opens very easily and children can figure it out fast, defeating the purpose.

I bought this gate to contain our 3 dogs in one room during the night. I needed a gate because closing doors with central heat and air does not work. There is no circulation if you close a room door. This gate is the perfect solution. It fits well in the door frame without damage to the wood and it works easily with just one hand and no pressure needed. This gate is the easiest to install of any gate I have ever owned. No tools needed for the pressure contact feet. Only a drill and screw driver needed if the optional included locator cups are used. I had this gate installed in less than 15 minutes! Sturdy metal material and no sharp edges make this gate safe for pets or small children alike. Also, no small openings to get caught or choked in. The latch is durable plastic and works well.

Just because this gate is affordable doesn't mean it's cheaply made. I received this gate as a gift (I told the giver what I wanted), and love it! My strong-man of a 1yr old still has not gotten through it. He pushes, pulls, and rattles the heck out of it and it still stands. It even keeps my 130lbs doberman out! I used the wall mount cups as well, since they give more grip. I do recommend that you check the gate weekly (like the manufacturer says), since regular use *can* loosen it. In all, I love this gate so much, I'm going to be getting a third one this week. Definitely a good buy!

So far my 18 month old has broken through 2 gates - normally by sliding her legs under that part where the floor trim is and just popping the pressure gate down. This one has held up over a week and I think it stands a good chance since it has 4 adjustable screws and goes all the way down to the floor. Our guests over the holidays all loved that they didn’t have to hop over a gate to get into the kitchen and I honestly think the toddler likes it too...She even closes it behind us when we forget to.

This is a great gate to own. Especially if you have a strong baby. It's easy to assemble and you can pick if you want to mount the wall things. The only thing is that the "doorway" of this gate isn't too big. I would very much so recommend this gate to people thinking about it. AND IT'S ONLY $35 !!!

I am so glad that I finally purchased a gate that opens in the middle instead of having to walk over or take down! It works great! This gate stays exactly where I want it at all times, even if my son shakes it! It keeps my 15 month old out of the kitchen and is very easy for everyone to open and get through, also is easy for the cat to fit through on the sides instead of have to jump over. This gate is very nice, that is is so tall as well. This is the 4th gate we have had since my son was born and I know this will be the last gate I will have to buy unless we move and need more gates. This gate is well worth the money and we should have just got this in the first place!
