I purchased this product online from Walmart.com, and had it shipped free to my local store. It was easy to setup in my house, and is exactly what I expected for the price. It does the job, without being over priced. With a new baby, I have a million other ways to spend money now (diapers and formula). It works very well, and will even be sturdy enough for the top of stairs.

I love this gate! It is very easy to open and close one-handed once you get the hang of it, and was easy to set up - even with my 8 month old "helping". It took about 5 minutes to set up, and is holding steady in the doorway 3 weeks later. The only things that aren't great are that the doorway is a little narrow, which takes some getting used to, and the gate is only available online. However with sitetostore, shipping is free, so it's totally worth it.

I've had this gate up for a few months before I reviewed it so that I could see if it would be durable enough. So far it hasn't budged and I did not have to use the cups. I put it up in my daughters' room when we transitioned her to a bed so she wouldn't be all over the house before we were up or if she didn't want to sleep. She climbed over or pulled down all the other pressure mounted gates we tried but not this one! Also my five year old who shares her room can open it with ease but the little one so far cannot. It was a relief not to have to spend a fortune on something that actually works well and doesn't ruin the woodwork. I would probably not use this on stairs though, only because of the bar across the bottom. No body has tripped on it yet but I wouldn't want to take the chance at the top of the stairs. All in all a great product from a great brand.

This is an amazing product. I plan to buy another for another door. I put it up in less than 15 minutes even with my little one helping. It is very sturdy and easy to use. It appears there is a gap between the door and frame but that disappears when you tighening the ends upon installation. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

I bought this gate to use to block off my utility room for when my puppy stays inside. It works very well. I like the fact that it is metal, and he cannot chew it. Also, it's a lot safer than the ones with the plastic "lattice work" design. It is very strong and sturdy. I love the walk-thru design. This is a great value for a great product!

I bought this gate because the old one we had wasn't very sturdy and my 10 month old loved to try to climb it. It was super easy to put together & install, and is very sturdy. I have a 4.5 year old as well and a 2 year old nephew that I watch regularly. My 4.5 year old is able to open and close the gate easily, while it can contain the 2 year old. It was able to withstand the 2 year old and my 10 month old shaking and slamming into the gate, however I had to put the bracket cups on after my 4 year old threw a temper tantrum and knocked the gate part way off the wall. It takes a little bit to get the hang of opening the gate with one hand, but it is easy to do once you figure it out. , just beware of the lip across the bottom of the gate door, my family is full of klutz's and we have all tripped over it multiple times.

Initally purchased to corral my energetic grandson, we have since found the Easy-Step Gate tremendously useful in keeping our three dogs (2 Dachshunds + 1 Great Pyrenees) from chasing our cats throughout the house. The Easy-Step Gates are portable, but we purchased a second unit for the bedroom. At bedtime, the dogs sleep in the bedroom behind the second Gate and the cats are free to roam into their litter box without the interruption of their canine siblings. Interestingly, the price of a comparable "dog" gate is more than two and a half times greater that the Easy-Step. We strongly recommend the Regalo Easy-Step Gate for use in households with energetic children and pets.

This is my third Regalo gate. Fortunately all have fit my door openings, but I know there are some where you have to extend the extension screws too far to keep them rigid. I had one of these and would up putting a piece of wood between the wall the screw. The gates work very well and I have 3 goldens who need to be regulated and kept out of the kitchen. I"m sure if they really wanted to, they could knock the gate down, but they haven't tried. Recommend!

I recently moved to a townhouse with stairs and was looking for a gate that wasn't too expensive! I was going back and forth because this one was so cheap! We decided to try it! It came in about a week and was extremely easy to install! Definitely read the instructions and the tag on the gate! I think I might buy another one for the top of the stairs!

Better than I expected it to be since it is so much cheaper than other brand gates. I use this gate for the entrance to my kitchen & it serves its purpose well. The opening is small so I wouldnt recommend it to someone that is large. I would say the munchkin gate I have that is very similar to this one is for sure sturdier than this gate so I'm glad I have that one over the stairs & not this one. This gate would be good over the stairs if you rarely will be opening & closing it. Overall I'm happy with it & have been using it for about 4 months now.
