I bought this gate because it was the cheapest "easy open" gate I could find. However, it is HAZARDOUS for children. My 4-year-old son got his finger caught in the latch (there are multiple areas on the latch that can easily pinch) and had to be taken to the ER to get stitches. So saving $15 on the gate ended up costing us a ridiculous medical bill.

We bought the gate abou t a month ago It was very easy to set up and fast I think it's nice that we can choose between pressure mounted or wall mounted We installed ours pressure mounted for now ... the baby is not yet a year old but we probably will have to mount it to the walls as he grows I like the design and the door is not hard to open for an adult or even with only one hand Good gate

Gate was hard to install because of floor molding in our house. We almost returned it to the store but we figured out a way to get it installed on top of the molding. Once installed it has been a great gate to keep my triplets from getting in the kitchen. I would buy it again, as the Regalo gates have proven to be a great value and have solid construction.

This is a pressure mount but there are parts that have to be screwed into the wall. I was looking for something that actually attached to the wall and had a door since I was annoyed by stepping over the ones we owned. This is PERFECT for my 2 year old, who can push the others down. Plus is very inexpensive compared to other similar models at other stores.. a definite buy. Con: the doorway is rather slim. My mom is plus sized and fits, but if you are really big you probably won't fit through the opening.

The door on this gate swings both ways. As this is used at the top of a staircase which is used quite a bit this is beneficial. My only complaint is that the metal isn't as strong as I would have liked but my grandson has tried pulling on the gate and it does it's job.

I am a mom of two very active boys .. I bought this gate to keep my kids out of kitchen a crawler and a toddler.. it works perfect .. i Love the gate for 3 reasons 1.my toddler keeps shaking it (we didn't screw it on de wall) but holds up well .. 2.kids can not climb on the gate .. my lil guy is 2yrs old and tried a lot but no success 3.good quality metal gate which LL definitely last long for all de wear and tear Cons 1. U will have measurements issues .. it might not fit perfectly.. ours dint fit we're v wanted

I bought this product to replace the gate on our wooden fence outside that is too heavy to replace. I needed something very easy for going in and out since my sister drops off my niece quite frequently for visits and it was very hard for her to step two feet over the temporary gate I had before. I also needed to keep my dog securely in the back yard. This works perfect...I was looking for something with the durability that would last through snowfall and still open and close fine without rusting. This is great.

So I have purchased this gate before and I love it. However, I live in an old house and nothing ever measures up. Well I measured the space of the doorway at the bottom and not the top. The top was about 1" too big for the gate. So I would recommend it but I had to return it cause didn't fit in the space. I love the one I have at the bottom of the stairway though!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This easy step safety gate is a great product. It fits into the doorway perfectly. Doesn’t knock over easily. Helps to keep the kids in the room or out of the room that is being blocked off. Very easy to set up and use. I would highly recommend.

I apparently read the details for this gate wrong because I thought it swung open both ways but it does not. I have it at the base of my steps which are on the right side of my house and the gate opens to the left which puts it in an awkward place when open. The lever that locks it partially but enough for the use to keep my 15 month old off the steps is one handed but the red clip that really locks it is a two handed job. Overall I like the gate just fine and it serves its purpose and is relatively easy to install with one person. If you have an extra hand to hold it in place that works even better.
