Best Scallops

Best scallops I have ever eaten in the US. Most grocery stores included the biggest Sam's Club wholesale competitor offer frozen scallops full of sand. The ones Sam's Club offers have NO sand. They are very flavorful and if cooked right will melt in your mouth. They are not cheap but in this case you get what you pay for.

Very good

We made fettuccine with a garlic butter sauce and added scallops and jumbo peeled shrimp. It only takes about 5 scallops per serving and this bag will make about 6 servings. These scallops are quite large. While eating them, I need to cut the small ones in half and the larger ones in thirds or quarters. I will definitely buy them again.

Japanese Scallops

These were the best scallops I've ever boughten from any seafood store I hope Sam's keeps getting these in I know today I bought the last package they told me that they don't know when they're getting more in so I'm hoping they'll get some more in soon people got to realize you need to defrost them and then take a paper towel and damp them put them in garlic and butter they'll be good and they're juicy and really good after you cook them never had a problem people just got to do them right and cook it right the comments on here about them just blows my mind like really I don't have a problem cooking them and I bought more than one bag from Sam's

Not for searing

These are lovely looking thawed, but are NOT dry and filled with water. I was embarrassed searing these in front of friends for a dinner party. They poured out water as I sopped it up with many paper towels. They ended up half the size and not seared but more steamed. I won't buy these again for searing.

No flavor

These are not the North Atlantic Sea scallops Sam's Club used to sell. Those were great. These Japanese scallops lack flavor, are smaller, and have a strange texture. I will not be buying them again.

Poor quality.

Purchased these many times before. They used to be great. However, these are much smaller than usual. Freezer burned. Pink not white. Flavor subpar. Shunk to nothing when cooked. No, I would recommend this product! Also, odd smell!

Do not buy!

Half the size when thawed, must be soaked in chemical water. Taste is terrible. Couldn't eat.Water keeps coming out as you saute on high heat. Threw half a bag away. Such a waste of good money.
