Hi there - we apologize that your refrigerator is hot to the touch sometimes. This would be discouraging and we understand your apprehension. This model has a "Hot Wall Condenser" which is another type of static condenser. The condenser tubing is bonded directly to the inside of the outer case. So, the temperature of the walls will vary depending on how long the refrigerator runs. (The longer it runs the warmer/hotter the walls can become.) We hope this insight is beneficial.
