We’d like to provide some clarification regarding the proper operation of this unit. This model is designed to operate in environments with temperatures between 55°F and 80°F. Using the unit outside of this range can lead to improper performance and increased energy consumption. If the ambient temperature drops below approximately 25°F, the thermostat will keep the unit off, as it does not detect the need to activate the compressor. While the freezer section may remain cold due to the surrounding environment, the circulation fans will not run, which means the refrigerator section will not receive proper cooling.

Hi Dinah, If you find that some of your veggies are freezing, you can attempt to store them inside of the crisper drawer. Some models even have the ability to control the humidity within the drawer, allowing your food to last a bit longer inside. Among other steps, to help maintain the right temperature you may want to limit how much the door is opened and ensure it seals properly, and make sure nothing is blocking the airflow in the interior.
