12500/9500–Watt Westinghouse Tri Fuel Portable Generator With CO Sensor + Remote Electric Start

I bought this to replace an older generator. This Westinghouse 9500 powers my whole house. Great product.

Just purchased yesterday.  Assembled today & it started right up.  Like the remote feature.  Here’s hoping I never ever need to use it!

Purchased this product in preparation for a snow storm. Setup was easy utilizing the included instructions .

Easy setup

Purchased November 2025 but had to do a lot of trenching, etc so it will be up and running April 2026.  Expect all to be good.

Works great the few times I have needed to use it. Haven't ran it for more than 30 min at a time so far.

Works As Advertised

Purchased in February, 2026. Just now got it set up to power my home. Runs and works fine. I will write another review after the first use.

New Westinghouse Generator Customer

I'm glad I purchased this generator. The fact that it has the capability to run on natural gas is a real plus for me.

Great Features

Our electrician installed the generator and it looks great. He tested it multiple times and then ran a full test run while showing us how to start it and it is very powerful! I'm extremely impressed.

Ran great on first test!

Super happy with this generator! I bought it for storm season, and it came through when the power went out last week. It’s easy to use, not super loud, and kept my fridge, lights, and a few extras running without any trouble. Totally worth it

Review of TriFuel Model

Received this nice looking generator with everything you need on a generator including power to run everything you need. It wouldn’t start for me to even try it out. It a total of 3 weeks I called Westinghouse 5 times trying to talk to someone that could help me get it started. They have people answering just to take messages and forward it to correct department so they can call the customer. In 3 weeks I never received a call back from anyone. All I ever received was text showing me some trouble shooting tip to try. These tips were in the manual that came with the generator so I had already tried all of them. I bought it through Sam’s Club so I finally gave up on Westinghouse and called Sam’s. They are having the delivery service that delivered it come back out and pick it up and refund all my money. If I can’t trust the customer service and warranty department at Westinghouse I do not want their product. I never had a chance to test the generator but customer service and warranty departments are the worse. Because of all this I had to give them a rating if one.

We had looked at numerous generators over the past few months.  Of the several that we narrowed our list down to, the Westinghouse WGen9500TFc came out the winner.  We like the tri fuel option and the fact that we can run it off of one of our grill propane tanks in case we can't get gas. The unit came with everything needed to get it up and running including engine oil and hoses to connect to propane or natural gas.  The remote start is a plus.  If using this on job sites, this feature can come in handy if working on roofs or up on ladders. You can start and stop the unit as needed without having to climb down.  There are plenty of power choice options - (4) 20 amp (1) 30 amp and (1) 50 amp outlets. The noise level is standard for a generator of this size. The generator also has a display that shows the output voltage, run time and several other useful screens plus any error codes.
