Well built

I am very happy with my purchase of the WGen9500TF. I bought this for the tri-fuel option which I am excited to try out. Right out of the box, i could tell this generator was well built. This will give me piece of mind knowing I have a quality backup power source for when nature strikes.

What great assurance for this year's bad weather

This year's winter weather in NJ has been awful. Our old generator died and we were in need of a replacement. We are thrilled that we went with the Westinghouse unit, as it is large enough to power up everything we need. It runs much more efficient and quieter than our old unit. Glad we made the purchase!

Its a multi-tasking machine

Just bought this Generator today and haven't had a chance to start it yet. So my review will have to consist on the packaging and features. The first thing I noticed was it would have been nice to have cutout handles t help in lifting. In uncrating the generator it was nicely packaged inside and had about 1 inch cardboard padding on sides and bottom. Love all the different features of this generator. Even has a plug for a welding machine which tells me it will handle anything I could throw at it!

Easy to assemble

Just received the generator ,assembly was easy and instructions were clear and concise. It was well packed and all necessary tools and the oil was included. Looks well made and controls function properly. I haven't used it yet but feel like it would work well for my needs.

Too Early To Tell

Bought this in anticipation of an approaching Ice storm. Unboxed, assembled, oil and fuel added, and started on the first pull. All 3 start modes worked as advertised. Perfect power from all receptacles. Initial rating is a 4.5. Holding off on a 5 for now. We'll see what happens during this coming storm

Highly recommend this generator for any needs

I bought this generator for a back up for my house if the lights ever went out. The freezing storm came through 1/25/26 causing the power to go out I connected the Westinghouse generator to my house very easy turn on with a remote key and it ran the house perfectly fine! Easiest generator to start up for quick needs and very powerful! Thank y'all for this power full and quick set up generator! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for one

easy to start, runs great and seems to have power

I bought this generator a couple of years ago and finally took it out of the box couple of weeks ago, before a major snow/ice storm hit this area. Had an electrician come out and hook it up to my electrical fuse box. Got the generator prime up and started after the first pull. Charge to battery up and work great, helpful for your spouse. Electrician was pleased with this tri-power generation, had enough power to keep my house going. Just not the HVAC system, difficult to run house and HVAC for almost all portable generators

WGen9500TFc Remote, TriFuel, comfort for emergency

In Jan 2026, Nashville TN had an ice storm and we had no power for 7 day. We bought the WGen9500TFc because it was TriFuel, remote start, and mechanically it has a durable cast iron sleeve. The remote is a major benefit as it allowed us to start and stop the generator without walking on ice. The gas tank is large enough to keep it running while we slept at night. I have only used it with gas so far but will switch to natural gas as I travel and need a continual fuel supply for my family. That is also a major benefit for our family. The sound is slightly softer than a riding mower when you are standing within a few feet. The sound in our house is Very Acceptable. The remote started from our house, about 35' distance away. This resolves that issue as I easily started the generator from multiple locations inside the house. At the offset of the unexpected ice storm we had to us a Kobalt 2500 watt inverter generator, manufactured by Firman, with a 54 dB sound level. That tank was 1.1 gallon which can only run one (1) 1,500 tower heater, so we used 2 heaters in low (750 watt) to distribute the heat evenly in one room, a 18" portable TV, 8.3watt LED lamp. The Westinghouse powered (3) 1,500 tower heaters for multiple rooms, the same a 18" portable TV, 8.3watt LED lamp, and refrigerator for around 9 hours or so. We have purchased a whole house power distribution system which we will connect to our home electrical box. Note; add the Westinghouse supplied oil in small amounts after empty about 3/4 of the bottle. Initially I added all the included oil, however the dip stick showed oil slightly above the "full" mark. Westinghouse informed me that the generator may have a small amount of oil residue in the engine before it shipped. I lowered the new oil by removing the oil drain plug until the dip stick level was correct. After the 5 hour break-in, I used Pennzoil 10-30 synthetic oil. To make sure the Westinghouse oil was out of the engine, I elevated the generator about 2-3" on the opposite side of the drain port. I did this because I wanted eliminate any concern about any potential oil contamination.

Great value!

This was the best value I could find for a generator that should be able to power my whole house in an emergency. The warranty is better than the competition I considered. My only disappointment is that it does NOT ship with a natural gas hose, as some other reviewers have indicated. It comes with a LPG hose that's about 4 feet long, but not a hose capable of helping you connect to a natural gas port on your house.

Very nice generator

I have primarily only tested it for my general use using propane. The unit starts easily using the push button and remote and generates the power desired. The control panel is nicely laid out and very easy to navigate/understand. I plan to use this generator as part of a whole house electricity backup system along with battery backup, a small grid of solar panels. and an automatic transfer switch.
