Best price for the KWHs

I like this generator because it comes with everything to run the generator, including wheels and spark plug wrenches, and even funnels. I first considered buying a cheaper one at a cheap tool shop, but even after the other generator's discount this Westing House one seemed cost-effectively better because I would have to buy a wheel kit and battery separately if I had bought the cheaper one. That is, it wasn't actually cheaper. Plus, the WGEN9500 comes with several wonderful features, including the remote starting functionality. One thing, the remote starter key fob was tied to the pull cord (for manual starting) when it was delivered. I couldn't find it at first because I thought I would find it in the manual packet or the accessary box. When you assemble the wheels and feet, see the attached pictures. It would be easier if you open the box from the bottom and attach one wheel and the 2 feet first. Then, stick in some pieces of lumber under the generator. This will help support the generator while you attach the other wheel without leaving scratches on the frame.

Runs our RV and charges electric car with no issue

This thing is so powerful. We are living in our RV while building a house and needed power until the county would give the temp elec permit. We had no experience with generators and wasn't sure what to get, but we knew we needed something to run our 30amp RV in the middle of a HOT southern summer, power the 1.5hp pump for our well, and charge our Nissan Leaf. (Oh the irony of using a gas generator to charge an electric car!) This generator has done all that and keeps on ticking! We use the 50 amp plug for our RV (using a 30amp to 50amp cord), use the 30a plug for our well pump, and the 120v for our car. Occasionally you can hear the generator bog down, but it's never tripped the breaker. It HAS shut off a few times on it's own, but now we understand its nuances, have adapted our behavior and have only had one actual issue (will detail later). - The CO monitor is very sensitive, so make sure it has lots of air space. - It shuts off if the oil is getting low. We've had to refill oil twice in the 2 straight weeks of use. So keep a eye on the level. We use about 10 gallons of gas each day to keep it going about 22 hours/day. (We like to let it rest a couple hours if possible.) Going to have our propane hooked up to it by the gas company tomorrow. It is loud. We have 12 acres of land and no one around us, so we don't feel awful about running it constantly. But it is annoying to have that constant hum in the background. We have it as far away from our RV as the RV extension cord will allow, and we've set up a few sound buffers between here and there to help drown out the sound. So it's not awful, but registers at 59dbl. We've also set up a shade tent over the generator to keep the sun from beating down on it. Not sure if that's needed, but it makes us feel better. We just need about 2 more weeks of use out of it and then we can store it until needed as a backup generator for the house, should power fail in the future. But I definitely feel like it's been a great value and has been so reliable. The one issue we've had: the electric start has already given out. It seemed a bit touchy from the get go, but was reliable once we figured out how to push it just right. However, the last couple of days, it just clicks when we push the button and doesn't start. We've had to start using the manual pull. I've seen a few cases online where a quick warranty claim was needed for the switch; looks like there may be known issues with it. Will add my claim to the list. Overall, we've been extremely happy with this generator and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Great Purchase for a First Home Generator

This was our first home generator purchase, and we're glad we went with the Westinghouse WGen9500TFc. The generator is built to last - the frame, components, and design are sturdy and easy to assemble. Everything is clearly labeled so that you are best prepared for your first use. We love the tri-fuel option to leverage multiple options should the need arise. This generator has multiple additional functional and safety features that make me feel confident in my purchase. We gave it a test run and did not encounter any issues.

Big bang for your hard earned money!

Seems to be a very solid generator, assembly was a snap just four bolts for feet and two pins to put wheels on. Fired right up and ran like a dream. This is my second one, the first one was bought to run a community well with a 5 hp pump when the power goes out. It runs all night in below freezing temperatures no problem and doesn't miss a beat. Can't really go wrong with this one if you take care of it, I run non-ethanol fuel and check and change oil quite frequently.

Great Product

We bought this generator to hookup the whole house power supply. We had a couple times of power outage every year. This generator arrived quickly in a week after purchase. It is so easy to start, and not very loud. It is easy to move around with wheels. This generator is really a solid product.

Great service/ delivery/product.

I bought this 6 weeks ago. Communication on delivery was great and product was delivered early and in great package. Step by step instructions on setting unit up for use was easy to follow. While I have not had a power outage this year to truly test unit I am very happy with product at this time. Everything appears to be working and functioning as advertised. I am very pleased with this unit and feel safe having it ready to respond as needed. I did destroy my small unit last year when we were down without Electricity. Confident this unit is above and beyond handling my family’s needs!

Westinghouse WGen 9500TFc

Three weeks ago, I made the prudent decision to purchase this generator. Recent power outages have demonstrated its value, as it successfully powered two refrigerators, a television, a window air conditioning unit, and two lamps, with ample power capacity remaining.

Best value for the price

I have been looking for a generator to power my house in the event of an outage. Lost power last week in the storms and I finally said it's time to get one. After working on westinghouse steam turbines and seeing the quality in the big power generation it's nice to see the quality of work travels down to the portable generators.

Great so far.

Assembly and start up was easy. Took about 20 minutes to assemble and get started on propane. Ran it for about a hour testing random things for break in. Everything works great so far. Was quieter then expected, but with 50% load it may be a little louder.

Ready for the next extended power outage

Purchased to replace my current generator that wasn’t powerful enough to handle our central AC unit. This generator meets all my needs including being powerful enough and tri-fuel. Simple to assemble (just install wheels and feet) and add oil. Fired right up on propane and I’ve also tested it on natural gas. I added a soft start to my 3.5 ton AC unit and everything is working great! We are now storm ready!
