I bought this after losing a finished basement to a power outage with no back up for my sump pump. Should have purchased long ago. This beast was super easy to put together and get running. Had it fired up within an hour of taking it out of the box. Fired right up first time, ran for about an hour. Added loads as instructed. Worked perfectly. With the connected wheels it is easy to move around and small enough to tuck away in the garage. Highly recommend.

Just bought my first portable generator. After researching several models, I chose the Westinghouse model for two reasons: 1) A variety of features that adequately fills my needs and 2) Value for the money paid. Although I haven't used it much yet, except for breaking it in a little, I'm confident this generator will provide top notch service for my needs in the event of an outage.

I bought this generator on line 3 weeks ago. It just arrived and I was so impressed with the set up process I decided to write a review which I rarely do. The machine is obviously very well built and from reviews I read prior to purchasing, I expect to get years of good service from it. What impressed me so far was how customer friendly the set up process was. The instructions were well written and the illustrations were very helpful. The manufacturer has gone to great effort to make all aspects of setting up this machine as simple and straight forward as possible. I was literally able to set this up and get it started in less than an hour and actually enjoyed doing it.

Bought this late August. During break in and after, ran different watt items from 1875W hair dryer, grinder, circular saw and even an old homemade squirrel cage fan that take a lot of juice to get turning. Ran separately and all together, drag on this generator was barely noticeable. This generator did not skip a beat. Although I am still trying to get my electrician out to hook the generator to my home, I have no worries that it will handle any needs of my home (everything but central air). I ran it on gas and propane and was able to switch fuels while running without any problems. I have a natural gas outlet but have not tried it yet due to it has PVC pipe connected to it that is buried in the ground from connection to outlet and is 40 yrs. old. Don't trust the PVC but will do away with the pipe and go straight from the outlet with hose to generator after I get the outlet check out by a pro first. So far, I am fully satisfied with this product and from other reviews, I feel any issues will be handled by the warranty and their team. I really don't expect any with this generator though. It is nice to have three options for fueling this WGen9500TFc.

I bought this during the great Texas Snowpocalypse and it arrived a few days later when the temp was back up to 70. Oh well, I’ll be ready for the next one. Looks very well built and can’t wait to put it to use. Very easy set up. Battery was already installed. Just add oil. Put on the wheels and feet. Took about ten minutes. I’ll come back and edit if possible after I put it to work.

I bought this generator to use during the upcoming hurricane season. I didn’t know I was also buying peace of mind. The generator is sturdy, starts easily, and runs everything we will need in case of an emergency. Not only that but it is extremely easy to move on any surface. My family can breath easy from now on.

Bought this Generator about 1 week ago and so far it has work as described. Wanted a Generator to power my home in case of outages which apparently occur often now in California. The thing that I love is the remote start feature. Overall happy with purchase.

I purchased this unit in Feb 2024 when it went on sale for $850. I had an electrician install a backfeed panel with dedicsted circuits that i wanted the generator to power in the event of an outage. Fast forward to June 19th of 2025, our area expericed a thunderstorm that caused 250,000 homes to lose power. I was able to roll this generator out of storage and hook it up to the backfeed panel. I used my propane tank to start the unit initially, which it did no problem. I then flipped the switches on my main breaker and backfeed panel and everything turned on exatcly as intended. After a few hours of running off propane, i filled the 6.6 gal gasoline tank and switched it to run off gas. I kept it running for 27 hours straight during the entire outage, with no issue. Off gasoline i had to fill the tank about every 9-10 hours (which varies depening on the electrical load). Overall, 10/10 and im thankful i made the purchase when i did. Our fridge and chest freezer acted as the foodbank for our neighbors during this time. We had lights, outlets, internet, microwave, hot water heater, sump pump, and more. I was told i have more capacity on the generator and can add more circuits if i need to (which i may add some more outlets for more counter top appliances) Im now writing this review because 3 of my neighbors are asking me about my purchase and how i have it setup. I am recommending this exact unit to all of them!

Provides a lot of power with a few little luxuries like remote start and multiple outlets. Yes, it is loud but not nearly as loud as other generators we have had. It is heavy but that is to be expected. The wheels and handle allow for it to be easily moved around.

Received this unit a.m. of August 29th. Late that afternoon wind and thunderstorms knocked power out. Wife and I uncreated, assembled, added oil, and gas. Started and ran perfectly. We used it for 10 hours before power came back on. Had electrician install 50 amp receptacle. Very pleased with unit. Sure it’ll get much more use.
