Nice Generator

I bought this to replace a smaller generator. I live in Southeast Texas and we have been through extended power outages due to hurricanes, one lasting over a week long. I tried the generator out and it cranked right up with the supplied electric start. With the large fuel tank being 6.6 gallons, I should not have to refill it in the middle of the night, like my old generator. Westinghouse generators have excellent reviews so the choice was easy.

Excellent So Far

I bought this during the January 2026 Ice Storm in the South. Setup took about 15 minutes and the unit fired up on the first try. Unit looks and feels premium with apparent high build quality, finish, and features; I'm definitely impressed at this price point. Fuel consumption has been as advertised at ~12 hours at 25% load. Reserving 1 star since longevity is still TBD (time will tell), but I'm not too worried about it. At this price I think Westinghouse has delivered a great product.

Better than the old one

This generator replaces one that only had 12 hours run time on it. The electric start, dual fuel and capacity are what attracted me to this Westinghouse unit. After I received it, I was surprised to find that it has a smaller footprint and it is much easier to handle than my previous generator, which had half the capability.

A very nice product

Made in Vietnam, but they must have a good contractor who meets good specs. Seems very well-made. Supplied with everything needed, including an assembly wrench and engine oil. Assembly was super easy - just feet, wheels, and the battery connector. Battery already charged. Oil bottle contains more that needed - make sure to keep checking the dipstick. Would be nicer to have a quarter-turn dipstick, it can be a little fussy to start the thread. Started very quickly, right out of the box. Electric starter is great, remote starter is even greater. Remote fob has good battery. Don't forget to close its breaker before plugging in to the outlets. Balance is nice for wheeling around.

Rock‑Solid Tri‑Fuel Reliable Powerhouse

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rock‑Solid Tri‑Fuel Powerhouse — Exactly What I Needed I purchased the Westinghouse WGen9500TFc Tri‑Fuel generator to strengthen my home's emergency backup plan, and it has exceeded every expectation. This unit is built like a tank, starts reliably, and delivers clean, steady power no matter which fuel I'm using. 🔥 Power & Performance The 9500TFc has no trouble handling heavy household loads. It runs major appliances, HVAC equipment (3 Ton), and essential electronics without strain. Voltage stays stable, and the engine runs smoothly even under higher demand. It's clear Westinghouse put real engineering behind this model. ⛽ Tri‑Fuel Flexibility = Total Peace of Mind Being able to switch between gasoline, propane, and natural gas is a game‑changer. During outages, fuel availability can be unpredictable — this generator eliminates that worry. Propane starts are effortless, and natural gas gives you long‑duration runtime without refueling. 🛡️ Safety Features That Matter The built‑in CO sensor adds an extra layer of protection that I really appreciate. It's responsive and gives me confidence when running the generator near the house during storms. 🔧 Easy Setup & Operation Assembly was simple, the instructions were clear, and the electric start fires the engine up instantly. The control panel is well‑laid‑out, with everything labeled and easy to access. Westinghouse also includes quality accessories, which is a nice touch. 💬 Overall Matter of fact this is my second Westinghouse generator I've purchased in the last two years, because this generator is powerful, dependable, and thoughtfully designed. If you want a serious home backup solution with the flexibility of tri‑fuel and the reliability of a trusted brand, the WGen9500TFc is an outstanding choice. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it without hesitation.

Easy hook up and easy push button start

We bought this generator back in January. I had an old style rope pull 6250. Worked ok but i needer something with more power and an electric start and ran on propane. My wife and i love this generator. If i am not here she can crank it with out a problem. And run the whole house with out having to watch what she has turned on.

New Generator

I purchased this generator to replace an old. Set up was easy and I connected it to propane to try it out. Started right up. Being able to use propane makes keeping fuel on hand easier and not having to worry about gasoline going bad. We have power outages once or twice a year due to storms. The 50 amp plug will be handy to connect it to our panel when our electrician gets it setup. This model doesn't have the drain hose on the float bowel to drain it. Would have been nice instead of pulling the plug and catching the gas in a small container.

Very well built

IBought this three days ago and just now assembled it. The instructions are very detailed and complete. I Have not started it or used it yet. I initially thought that using 5w30 synthetic oil would be the way to go, however, after reading the instructions again it was revealed that the oil that was sent with the generator should be used for at least 5 hours in order the properly seat the piston rings. Will be using 5w30 fully synthetic oil after break-in period.

Great features

Bought this one to replace an older generator that still works. Liked the features of the Westinghouse of easy start and the ability to use the different fuels. Planning on going the propane route for fuel. Already purchased a tank and hoses for it. Have not had to use it yet but in the past we have had to have one during the hurricane which we used the old gasoline model and it became hard to get gasoline. So hope it will be better with the propane but don't want to experience another hurricane.

Great resources

Bought this yesterday and so far I'm impressed and I haven't even run it yet. Just the how it was built and the resources that came with the generator, replacement parts list and the user manual. Just so much information that you just dont typically get nowadays.
