Bought this generator during the recent ice storm as a replacement to the Generac portable generator we have had for 2 years and was struggling to run a couple of heaters and lights. The Westinghouse generator ran circles around the Generac and saved our lives and sanity! You talk about a piece of mind! We can confidently run our house and sleep well knowing this machine will not quit on us. Alot less maintenance intense unlike the Generac.

Bought this when the ice storm started in Tennessee on 1/25/26 and lost power for days and I brought this thing home, started it up and it was a champ. Powered my fridge multiple heaters, WiFi, tv's and never flinched. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Awesome!!

Bought this 1 1/2 years ago and have started it multiple times for maintenance. Gas is less than 6 months old and in a freezing period, i needed it for a power outage and it would not run on gas. It started right away on propane. So when i needed it, it wouldn't start

I bought this to replace a smaller generator. I live in Southeast Texas and we have been through extended power outages due to hurricanes, one lasting over a week long. I tried the generator out and it cranked right up with the supplied electric start. With the large fuel tank being 6.6 gallons, I should not have to refill it in the middle of the night, like my old generator. Westinghouse generators have excellent reviews so the choice was easy.

Just bought this Generator today and haven't had a chance to start it yet. So my review will have to consist on the packaging and features. The first thing I noticed was it would have been nice to have cutout handles t help in lifting. In uncrating the generator it was nicely packaged inside and had about 1 inch cardboard padding on sides and bottom. Love all the different features of this generator. Even has a plug for a welding machine which tells me it will handle anything I could throw at it!

initial impression: seems to be relatively well-built. Haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet. Pro: started right up with remote start after filling with oil and a gallon of gas. Cons are the wheels are plastic, the "axels" are ~3in cotter pins. There is a fuse just kinda dangling from behind the control panel. I don't see any of this being an issue, but i wasn't too impressed with those things. Also, (and this is to be expected) unless you're quite strong, don't count on being able to hoist it into the back of a pickup by yourself - It's definitely a two-person job! For me, at least. Very bulky for a 5'9" guy.

I bought this during the January 26 ice storm. The generator came with clear instructions and was easy to assemble. The remote start feature is very handy. It cranked and ran very easily. We ran a refrigerator, a freezer, and several small appliances such as coffee makers and air fryers. If connected through your main breaker box, you can run up to a 3-ton A/C.

The proverbial phrase, "Some Assembly Required" barely applied here. I was able to put the few items on the machine quickly and easily. Using the remote control, this unit fired up right away and purred like a kitten. Now I can't wait to lose power to my house so I can put this beauty to work. (The wind storms we have been having in Southeast Michigan suggest that my wish may come true soon.)

I purchased this generator to replace an old. Set up was easy and I connected it to propane to try it out. Started right up. Being able to use propane makes keeping fuel on hand easier and not having to worry about gasoline going bad. We have power outages once or twice a year due to storms. The 50 amp plug will be handy to connect it to our panel when our electrician gets it setup. This model doesn't have the drain hose on the float bowel to drain it. Would have been nice instead of pulling the plug and catching the gas in a small container.

I bought this size generator because the bigger one was going to be late on delivery and my power was out and ended up being out for 10 days. I bought this generator because my 2000 watt generator was not cutting it. I used this generator almost 100 hours only stopping it twice to change the oil. It worked great powering my house lights, refrigerator and separate freezer, hot water heater and two 1500 watt electric heaters and ran my dishwasher once. The push button start and remote start worked great and I really loved the remote start. Changing the oil was super easy and only took me maybe 10 minutes.
