Overall I like the Food saver but there’s a few things that should be included in the package such as the accessory for the reusable bags. It’s sad that you can’t even purchase them in the store, you have to go to the actual Food Saver store online. Sometimes it doesn’t seal and it’s frustrating!

We had to return the first one received because we received a used item that wasn’t like the photo on the box it was very used and they also had put in some cans of food in the box . Whomever did that dishonest return I hope all comes to light. We called customer service and returned item and received new one in perfect condition.I opened it immediately this time to check it even tried it. Working in perfect condition. Thank you Sam’s for taking care of your loyal customers. Whomever is reading this make sure you open right away and check your items note to myself as well!

Perfect little unit for small family. We use it when buying things in bulk, we can separate into smaller portions, vacuum seal and freeze. Instructions could be better written, it took a minute to figure out exact placement of the bags, but after that it’s been great

Terrible terrible model of food saver-if you want to do a lot of anything in a timely manner do not purchase this model. Takes forever to seal-sucks and sucks and sucks and then you have to manually hit the seal button. I’m an intelligent person so this is not user error. If you’re a homesteader and put up a lot of food-avoid this like the plague. So disappointed in this purchase.

As a family of five, we do a lot of bulk food shopping, and I love getting home to pull out my food saver to store some bulk meats, cheeses, and even leftovers! Some of my favorite features include the integrated bag cutter, which is super easy to use, the accessory hose for reusable bags, and the 3 different modes: dry, moist and pulse (for delicate foods like cookies!) I can honestly say the Food Saver is my favorite kitchen accessory!

I bought this about 6 months ago because I knew mine was getting old and stuggling. I just got it out and set it up. There are a few features my old one has that this one doesn’t but at least I have one. It does have a smoother vacuum and does not over vacuum. I am not sure how well I will like pressing down on the front corners to lock it. As I get older, things like that are not as easy. I have has a foodsaver since the early 1990s and will always have one. It has saved us a lot of money by preserving our food.

I have used the food saver system for about 20 years and it has saved me a lot of money throughout the years. I've had to replace the machine 2 times in that period and now I have to replace the machine again and I'm so glad that Sam's Club has a special of $25 off so it's even a better price. I don't know what I would do without this machine.

I bought this vacuum sealer because my old one finally gave out. It started out good but after a month it quit completing the vacuum and seal process. I now must vacuum then change the setting to seal to complete the process. Even with this it will not always seal. I have changed the rubber seals, but it did not help. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I just bought it today at the Layton, Utah club (big plus it was $25 off with Instant Savings ending tomorrow) and had to try it out. I emptied a bag of frozen peas and carrots into a vacuum bag, pressed the vac/seal button, and away it went. Perfect, firm vacuum, airtight seal. Next was a frozen steak that I knew I had wrapped to loosely, and I was afraid of freezer burn. Another perfect seal. The I tried out the zip bags--I didn't have any food items, so chose some hot-glue sticks. Plugged in the hose to the unit, then into the little green (unexplained) gasket thingy, placed it firmly over the bag's port, and it vacuumed perfectly. BTW, the bags are reusable too, even the ones you make from the rolls. I did another test as well. I had an open bag of potato chips, so I trimmed the open edge with scissors, then placed it into the unit, and pressed "seal". When the indcator told me it was done, I pulled the bag out, and sure enough, a perfect seal was born. I think I'm going to love this FoodSaver. Only four stars because I've only done the test-drive.

This is our 4th FoodSaver in 8 years. The idea is great. The units have gotten progressively poorer in quality. This unit is very poorly made right out of the box. I had a feeling I would have problems right from the start and I did. The hose for accessory vacuuming is almost impossible to get in and out and broke after a few uses. Customer service is horrible. I tried to do Sam's a favor and use FoodSaver's online customer service. There is an excessive amount of questions on the form to file for a warranty claim. After getting deeply into it, i gave up and used the horrible chat bot to get to a customer service email. This took 2 attempts over 2 days to get a reply. My unit was 2 months old. No apology was made for my difficulties. Hoops again were made to be jumped through and the worst part is they said they would do me this "favor" of sending me a new hose instead of apologizing for my difficulty on what is clearly a known problem. There are approximately 30% reviews at or below 3 stars. Read them. Unfortunately, my intention of helping Sam's out by going through FoodSaver was time consuming and extremely poor. If I were doing it again, I would just bring it back.
