It’s not what I usually cook with or garnish with. But I have to say, it was absolutely DELICIOUS!! We added it to our barbecue sauce for our grilled chicken tonight. It added just the right touch of sweetness with the heat to balance it out. I will be using this product in lots of different ways: We are going to try it on chicken wings next.

Of course, I also have a high tolerance for spice and have been banned from offering an opinion on how spicy things are, lest lesser mortals actually take my word on such subjects and end up with more spice than they can handle. Regardless, I like this hot honey. It was good on pepperoni pizza, and I also enjoyed it on crackers. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with hot honey, no matter the brand.

I tried Nate's on fried chicken, as recommended on the bottle. It added a great combination of sweetness with just the right amount of heat to make it enjoyable. It was also good on my side of French fries, substituting it for ketchup which tends to have too much sodium. Looking forward to experimenting on many more of my favorite foods.

What results is a good balance of flavors, none overpowering the other. It starts off immediately sweet like honey, and then the heat comes at the end, and builds the more you eat. So tastebuds suited for more mild heat can enjoy it, while also building up heat for those who like that. It is a little bit runnier than your standard honey, though, so be careful with pouring. Our family has enjoyed it most on deep fried chicken drumsticks and wings. Definitely something to eat with a fattier, crispier meat, or baked Brie. This would also go great on a charcuterie board.
