Bang for the Buck!

After much research I settled on the iGen4500DF. It had all the features I was looking for plus the bonus of remote start. The propane feature is great for the occasional power outage since gas does not store well. I have only ran the unit a bit over an hour doing the break-in but so far I am pleased. It runs very quiet, runs my AC unit on my cargo trailer/camper @ a bit over 25% load. The only thing I wish it had was a 12v out for charging may batteries. It does however have a trickle charge feature so your battery on the generator is always ready to go. I am pleased with my purchase and barring any catastrophic failure in the near future I would easily recommend. Can't wait to get out and use this this thing!

Super quiet!

I bought this a couple weeks ago, my husband forgot gas for it. We have the dual fuel generator, so we just hooked it right up to the propane tanks on our camper and it worked wonderfully! Very quiet, the remote start is an amazing feature as well! We were able to run AC, coffee pot, and my hair tools all at one time!

Plenty power for 23’ TT

Recently purchased a Wildwood FSX 163RDSK and the iGen4500 is plenty of power with most appliances, pumps, and load on… even when the AC surge occurs. Sound Db is a bit higher than expected with eco off — needed for AC surge. During cooler weather, eco mode is much more quiet. It’s probably overkill for trips without AC, but nice to have the option for unexpected southern weather changes! Unit arrived with battery drained and initial start with pull cord was a no-go. So if it has trouble starting from arrival, plug in the unit to charge the battery for a few hours. Even then it took 2 starter cycles for it to kick in. From the on, it has started right away… pull cord, button and remote. Recommend.

IGen4500 DF_ER

I purchased this product to replace my Champion Generator. The IGen4500 has so far worked flawlessly right out of the box. It is considerably lighter and better built than my current genset. After the break in period we camped in the Northeast for over five days and the IGen4500 powered our RV and all its accessories. We are taking out again in a few weeks for a longer trip and I expect meeting and exceeding my needs and expectations.

So far so good

Got it today. In process of filling oil dropped dipstick and it fell down under the floor panel. Because i’d added oil it made it way more difficut as tilting it would have lex to oil gushing out if the dipstick hole. Took a plumbing camera a lond of long curved hemostats and an hour of fiddling to retrieve it. The oil fill/change system is this thing’s achilles heel. Definitely not looking forward to the first oil change. Once that was done on to the propane. The regulator assembly is super big and a but clunky to have hanging off the bottle with its weight riding on the connection. Propane line is very short, necessitating keeping the bottle right next to the gennie. Operationally it was fine. Started right up, ran for 5 hours powering a big fan and an rv converter with occasional a/c unit power which is ultimately the reason for the purchase. And for that it appears it’ll do just fine. Will update when its got some hours on it of real world use. Thys far though it’s better than the pair of paralled Ryobi’s its replacing. They would often struggle just to light off the a/c unit, let alone anything else. While I cant fire up both the 13,500 and the 10,200 a/c’s (as least on propane) it does handle the big one woth biatloads of breathing room. Much quieter than the ryobi’s were as well.

Very Compact with all the bells and whistels

I reviewed several options to enhance my home back up system. After considering price, features, and availability I am glad I chose this product. It is super compact and it was shipped quickly and and easy to install. This is a great addition to my home back up system. I appreciate the fact that you can use propane or regular gas. With all the gas prices going up as they are it is nice to have another option.

Easy instructions, start ok, low noise

I just started using my generator, all parameters are as advertised, low noise, it started at the first try smoothly, increasing the load increase the demand of energy and noise as expected, easy to connect the battery, the oil a little bit difficult to get the right level because I suppose it was a residual amount of oil from factory but other than that everything works very good.

TESTING AND ALL ETURES ARE GREAT

THIS UNIT IS WORKING GREAT. TESTING AND MAKING SURE I AM NOT EXCEEDING THE 50% POWER BREAK IN LIMIT. SO FAR THIS IS WORKING AS EXPECTED AND IS THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MY NEEDS. I RECEIVED THE PRODUCT AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE UNIT. I HOOKED IT TO PROPANE AND IT STARTED IN FOUR PULLS, WHICH WAS IMPRESSIVE. SO FAR ALL FUNCTIONS WORK.

Everything one needs

Just received it and added oil and gas, it fired up on the second try. Nice and quiet on idle, loaded it up with a/c unit on my trailer and was surprised that it purred along at 25 % load with the air set on medium. Did a 5 hour break in period which is recommended all went well. I liked the two 120 volt outlet because they accepted the alternate prongs ie vertical and horizontal. What I did not care for was the voltage gage layout and the writing below it which is hard to see and seems confusing to me, understand having the lighted meter and fuel gauge is a huge plus for me, maybe I am not use to reading it all of it yet. So far I like what I got excellent generator.

Nice generator, many features, dual fuel.

Purchased this generator last week. For the price you get a lot of generator. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews. Some people had mentioned the generator had damage after they had purchased it. I removed all the panels and found no damage to the generator. Additionally some people had complained about the automatic choke. I had no issues with this either. The only minor issue that I found with the generator was it some of the screws holding the service panels on appeared to be slightly scuffed up. As though somebody had a difficult time trying to get them tightened. Otherwise the generator was in perfect condition. Power: 4500 peak watts and 3700 running watts on gas. 4050/3330 on propane. Generator is quieter than I expected. It is about as loud as my Honda 2200eu generator. Large fuel tank, 3.4 gallons means long run times between fill ups, roughly 18 hours. Has two 120v/20amp, one 120v/30amp, and two USB outlets. Data center tells you fuel remaining, power output, remaining run time on current fuel, voltage, and lifetime run hours. Generator can be started either push button on the console, pull start, or FOB. Generator also comes with remote start FOB, tool kit, battery charger, and engine oil. After adding the oil I connected the generator to a propane tank and pressed the start button on the FOB. It cranked twice and and fired right up. I ran it for about 30 min under 15% load without any problems. Very happy with my purchase.
