Got my iGen4500 this week. Easy setup. I was a little worried because I had read some bad reviews. I suppose with any product, there can be a few isolated problems. Mine arrived undamaged with no rust in the fuel tank. Hooked up the battery, put in oil and it started right up. Measured the decibels with my smartphone app and it was 3 decibels quieter than my Ryobi at the same distance. It has a superior sound deadening foam inside that is 4x or more as thick as that in my Ryobi generator. Love the readouts. The remote key fob was already initialized and worked.

I've not had the opportunity to use this generator in the field, but really like the fact that it has a duel fuel system (propane and gasoline). In addition, it has a remote starter which is exactly what I want in a generator. I would also like to offer praise to Westinghouse for it's excellent customer service. Westinghouse went out of it's way to correct a problem and more than met my expectation for fantastic customer service. Thank you for providing a simple fix for me (the customer) and being so very positive.

Bought in late Nov 2024. Started up on Propane and it worked well. As advertised it is low noise (sat close to it about 2 to 3 ft and had a normal voice conversation). Did not start with pull cord, but in fairness, have not had time to fully read manual or run it enough to test all the plugs. I did test 120Vac plugs with small Sears tire inflator and high speed blower and it ran fine (recognize this is small load test). Unit got slightly louder as load was applied but not more than 2 to 5 db. It is compact and easy to move around but smallish wheels so moving over grass and soft surfaces maybe a challenge. Easy to move on hard surface with a sturdy pull out handle. Probably need two average people to pick it up reasonably (one football big guy could do it). Could easily get a cart to move it as well. I gave it a 4 star review as i have not had enough time to test it fully. Will come back and try to modify rating as i gain experience. dean*

I have about 30 or so hours on this generator so far. The remote start is extremely nice to have. It also has an estimated fuel and run time display based on the load the unit is carrying which is very nice. It is quiet and smooth in operation except that every hour or so it "bogs down" for a couple seconds. I'm not sure if this is a designed "regen" or something, but it throws my camper AC for a little bit of a loop. If someone knows why it does this or whether it is normal, please let me know. We have only run the unit on gas so far.

Purchased this about a week ago. Arrived in good condition and fired right up out of the box on both gasoline and propane. Ran for 5 hour break in as recommended with no issue. Runs very quite. So far works as it should and has all of the features I was looking for at a great price. Would recommend so far!

Started right up after adding fuel and oil. I like the option of remote start for when we go camping. The info panel is an excellent feature to monitor fuel, power and runtime. I plugged a few items in and the noise level didnt change much, it's very quiet. I look forward to many years of use.

This generator works great! I use it with my small RV trailer. It runs everything just fine. It will struggle a little if I run the AC and the microwave at the same time. I run it with propane only. It has never had gasoline in it. The remote start is a huge bonus. I can start the generator from inside my trailer. With my previous generator, I had to unplug everything before I shut it off and replug after I started. This is definitely a hassle. With my new Westinghouse generator I simply shut it off and start it up. No plugging and unplugging. I do however turn all the the appliances, AC, ect. off before starting and stopping.

Bought this for my daughter for the power size ratio so it was useful but light enough for her to move. It is very well thought out and engineered, easy to use, relatively quiet and great looking. She can roll it around easily though it take two to lift. Highly recommend.

I was pleased to see that the generator came with a remote start. I had to request another FOB because the one that came with the generator would only start it, it would not turn it off. It is not as powerful as I had hoped, but I believe it will work.

Generator is quiet and makes electricity like it should. I like the ability to run on propane. Things I would improve. 1. A larger access door to oil side. Door is small making it difficult to access to check oil level. I accidentally added too much oil, instructions warned that there may be some oil. I was slowly removing the oil drain and came to the conclusion that I may not be able to get the drain plug back in quickly because of the tight space so changed my tactic and opted to pull oil back out the fill hole with a fluid extractor. Thinking the extractor may be a cleaner way to change the oil. 2. It would be helpful if there were bolt down tabs to secure the generator to a tray on the back of an RV. Looking forward to using this generator
