We were looking to replace an older generator for our camper and wanted something quiet. This is much quieter, looks great, is reasonably sized, with a handle to pull it--important with generators as they're heavy. The best feature by far is the remote! Being able to turn it on or off from inside the camper or nearby is a feature we didn't think we needed and now must have! Great little generator and worth every dime!

Have been researching inverter generators for our boondocking trips in our travel trailer. This model (4500DF) supplies equivalent power to a 30amp plug-in so we don’t have to worry about rationing our usage. Very impressed with the quietness of this model.

This is a great generator, even if Westinghouse likes to call it "inverter' in its good included manual. All other previous comments I agree with, So 4 Stars why ? Well here is the INFO needed. The 30 amp output is NOT A 3 PRONG TWIST LOCK, as nearly all 'generators' come with, but is a TT 30r outlet, 30 amp travel trailer. Yeah it's in the manual. However all past generators, for me, have had a 3 prong twist lock (L5 30p) outlet. SO you need and adaptor TT 30r to L5 30p twist lock. Now all your cords will plug right in for power. This is also really meant to be set out all alone with a long card. As I have yet to figure how to add a tail pipe to the exhaust system from my motorhome's extended bumper mounting. It is nearly 200 pounds lighter then the 5000watt Onan it replaces. : ) And may I ask Who the Heel has the employee try to hide the Serial number to where you need lay down or have helper tip the thing near on end ? But yes I certainly recommend this Inverter : )

Bought this as an addition to an open frame Westinghouse generator that I have as well. We wanted something that was a little quieter to use during power outages and this fits the bill! Haven't had a chance to use it in an actual outage yet, but it seems to run fine, and I believe it will do everything that I need it to. Happy so far!

I’m totally off grid, seems to be working great, I’ve only been using it just shy a week, but I really think the remote start is great. It took me a bit to figure out the battery charger deal, they really don’t explain it to well. I’m on propane now have not tried the gas part yet, but I’m glad it’s there if I need it.

I bought this just for emergencies. We don’t need much, just the essentials so I figured this had enough wattage. I have a 30 year old fridge so I was worried about that but the generator running on propane handled it with no problem. I love the fact that it’s dual fuel. I usually have a spare full propane tank on hand to swap out the grill and almost always have extra gas, so this gives me some flexibility. It is heavy but the retractable dolly handle and the lifting bars makes it fairly easy to handle.

The generator was very easy to set up .It has easy to read instructions. I ran on gasoline and propane with no issue at all. I connected it to my RV A/C for the five hour break in period because the A/C compressor would cycle on and off and keep generator from running at a constant rpm. The sixteen thousand btu A/C increased generator noise very little. It is much quieter than expected .

It took quite awhile to find one, but eventually I was able to get it. Its our first generator and so far I couldn't be happier. We haven't put it to the test, but I did test it with an angle grinder and it worked flawlessly. Very quiet, which is important as I don't want to broadcast when I have it running to everyone. Very pleased.

I just got this unit, therefore I have only used it for a very short time, but I am extremely impressed with it so far. The electric start feature is great. I will be using it mostly with a travel trailer, so the option of running on either propane or gasoline in also a terrific feature. However, the best thing is that it's much quieter than I expected. I think this will be a great generator for the trailer with the capacity to run the air conditioner, coffee pots, hairdryers and anything else we need.

First impression of the outer box is that it was a bit light weight and I was in for some broken parts as the banding straps had cut deep into the cardboard. Opened the box to find the battery door was not attached, the battery was hanging out of the battery compartment, and the battery hold down strap near the oil fill plug. Good news is none of the parts were damaged, but reinstalling the battery hold down strap and battery is a bit tight for adult hands. Filled up with oil using the provided oil and screw in funnel, with no issues. Hooked up the propane line to the regulator and then the generator with no issues. (Generator came with a tool kit, so no need to go to the toolbox.) Turned on the propane, pressed the ON/OFF button and within a couple revolutions it was running and more quiet than I had anticipated. Ran for an hour with 1K load no issues. Have not tested with the 15K RV AC unit yet. Only real negatives were the condition of packaging, parts dislodged in transit, and the battery and oil fill access panels a bit too small for adult hands.
