IT'S QUIET!!

I scoured the internet for all the qualities I wanted in an invertor generator and found them in this Westinghouse. I completed its break-in period in my backyard without a peep from the neighbors. It's quiet enough to be around while you talk on the phone.

Quiet and powerful

I was in the market for a generator to power my travel trailer A/C and this couldn't be more perfect. Not only will it easily power my A/C, but it allows me to not have to worry about using other AC appliances while it's running. It's also very quiet and I know I won't be bothering anyone that I'm camping near.

Packed with features!

Unboxed, added oil and gas, and started right up. I love all that this generator has to offer, Larger fuel capacity, very quiet operation, portability, fuel flexibility with propane, fuel gauge and many other read outs. Also remote start. I have not seen any other generator in this class with more capability. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Very attractive and functional.

This is my first generator and it is really nice. I connected it to my house through my electrical panel using an interlock to isolate from the grid and it handled all my 120 V loads (although I obviously had to limit simultaneous loading). Very attractive. So with planning, I can live comfortably in my home in an emergency situation as long as I have propane or gasoline. Stays cool after operating for hours. Great control panel. Handles load changes well. Easy to move around. However, while it may be quieter than most generators, especially open frame, the 52 dB noise level touted by Westinghouse is misleading. At 5 feet from the generator the noise level is about 80 dB. You have to get out about 60 feet or so from the generator to get down to 52 dB. So my one disappointment is that it is noisier than I thought it would be. But as I understand, it's still quieter than most. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

Lots of power in a small, quiet package!

I did a great deal of research before buying this particular generator. Great features, love the dual fuel capabilities and it runs very quiet. Filled the engine with oil provided, connected the battery, connected the propane, turned the power switch on and Boom, it started right up. Surprisingly quiet for a generator this size, can not hear it running inside the RV, great remote start feature. Turned on all power in the RV and this generator handled it with no issues. The panel is loaded with features as well an easy to understand, plenty of power outlets, RV plugged right in, outlets for USB charging and a supplied battery tender and tool pack. It's on wheels, has a handle that stores out of the way and very easy to move around. Cummins Onan makes a generator that looks identical except it is not dual fuel, this generator costs about the same as the gas only version of theirs, love the dual fuel capability of this Westinghouse iGen4500DF runs clean and quiet. Best generator on the market for the money hands down. And I forgot to mention the 10 hour run time on a tank of gas, I plan to use on propane so I don't have to mess with gasoline and the added danger it presents. You won't be disappointed!

Tested well

I have tested on propane and it picked up the load well. remote start is nicely implemented. You push the button once and it cranks till it starts even enough if the LPG line needs to purge. the monitor display doesn't work but I expect to get that solved with the company's warranty people. Will go in 5th. wheel. Engine had quite a bit of metal after ~1 hour running with a 20 amp load. After the oil change the oil looked pretty good. There is no filter on these type engines, I would recommend one of the magnetic oil level dip sticks to pick up any magnetic bits in the oil.

Great features

I bought this for my business and we needed it for running a freezer during an event. It arrived just 2 days before the event, but it was so easy to operate that we were all set. Having the dual fuel option - Propane gas and Gasoline is awesome! And it starts with just the push of a button, which is super easy!

Excellent Functionality

I was in the market for quite a while looking for a quality generator. After a few months' good works, I finally found and bought iGen4500DF, an inverter with less than 3% power distortion, 52 db quietness, dual fuel capability, and much more ... It's just exactly what I need.

Great size for travel trailer

Love the remote start. Wattage is perfect for our 20ft travel trailer. A bit bigger than I wanted, but we wanted enough wattage to guarantee our AC running. Also wanted dual fuel to keep from having to carry gas. Propane much easier. Plan is to keep it in back of pick-up (with topper) when camping and just run the power cable to it. Will have to figure out the exhaust eventually. Maybe I will post an update after I use it more.

Exactly what I needed for my home backup power.

Love the duel fuel so I can run on propane and not have to deal with the mess and care of gas. There was some corrosion on the rim where the gas goes, which ideally I wish wasn’t there. It also smelled like gas so I am assuming that was from testing? Super easy to set up and set started. Fired right up and is ready to go when I need it.
